Where is my sexy as hell ginger vampire that's all possessive and growly? I'm waiting Fate....patiently even!
I love vampire books and this was no exception. So great I don't even know where to begin. The plus is that it's a series so there will be more goodness to come!! I'm sure that Ms. Walker is extremely busy, so I thought I would help her out and give her some suggestions for the upcoming books:
Book 2 - Alec can wrap his arms around Cronin's waist and he can leap them both into Carter and Isaac's house. Sammy can play with Brady and fun will be had by all. Who doesn't want to catch up with Isaac and Carter and see where they are in their relationship?
Book 3 - Cronin said that he had a house in London, but why not build a new house in Scotland? Who can help them with that.....let's see...of course, they could leap over to Thomas and Cooper's house and then leap them all over to Scotland. While the house building ensues they would have endless fun together. Alec would be cracking jokes about Tom robbing the cradle and Cooper would say that he was one to talk since Cronin was hundreds of years older. Good times!
Book 4 - After successfully completing the house I think a vacation is in order! What better place to go than....you guessed it....the Outback! Charlie and Travis would be the best hosts ever. Does anyone not want to imagine Cronin riding a horse? NO! The only downside is that Ma might be a little upset that Cronin, Jodis, and Eiji don't want to eat her cooking. I think Eiji and Nugget would become the best of friends.
My work is done. But seriously, back to this book. It was awesome! I loved the building relationship between Cronin and Alec. I know they came together fast, but that tends to happen when couples are fated to be mates and I'm OK with that. I've always said that I don't mind insta-love when it comes to shifters and vampires. It's totally different than two humans. DUH! Plus, Alec was still having troubles accepting all that was thrown into his lap for at least a few days. And how could you not fall in love with Cronin, fated or not, within 48 hours. He's perfect!
Alec's sarcasm was also a plus...very funny indeed.
I loved Jodis and Eiji to. I loved their relationship with each other as well as their true bond with Cronin. Eiji and his toys (guns and arrows) were fun to read about as well. He is a big kid with a great heart.
My one sadness was (view spoiler)
I can't wait for book 2. I've said it before and I'll keep saying it...I love N.R. Walker! Thank you for exploring new territory in the paranormal. Great start to the series!

great job on the review, core! this will be my first m/m vampire (when i get to it)!"
I know right! I had no idea he was a ginger either until I read it. So good!
Thanks Jen! Wasn't it great? And I was so happy that no one sparkled because we would have never heard the end of it from Cat lol
Totally should have been in the blurb. But it was nice to find out about it as a surprise. A Scottish ginger? I couldn't read fast enough!
They were hot weren't they? Can't wait for book 2!!
wonderful review Cory :)
and your ideas for the second book ?

I especially sympathize with your first sentence ;) (hence my review :P )

though it seems like I'm already out of patience ;P
I hope you're gonna like the second book just as much :)
