Well, I think I had too high hopes for this one. I remember reading the first book and loving it but this one was just a let down for me personally. It didn't have that spark and I felt at times wondering why does nobody really know what they are doing. That frustrated me but other than that it was an ok read. Not bad but not fantastic either. I liked the action and since we got a lot of it that jujst might have been the saving grace for this story. I also liked some characters, like Raphael and the witches as well as Kate's friend from work that had a surprising little secret of her own. As for Red and the bad guys, well...and happy they got their karma work for them, especially Red. Seriously that punk, had it been me I would have beatem him bloody. But some life leasons must be learned the hard way for them to stick, so we'll see how his story works out for him. All in all, I only hope the next book will have a better plot and more progress between Kate and Curran.
