The Flower Course,[1] also referred to as In the Syrup Sea,[2] is the second level of the Macro Zone in Super Mario Land 2 - 6 Golden Coins. Some of this level takes place outside, but the majority takes place in the plumbing of the house.
Layout[edit]
At the start of the level is an ant and three pots, with a Piranha Plant in the middle one. There are also some coins and a ? Block containing a Fire Flower. Next are a couple more ants, along with a Battle Beetle and a Venus Fire Trap in a pipe. There are then more pots with various enemies on top. There is then a submerged pipe Mario must go down to get into the plumbing area, allowing him to enter the house underground. There are several Cheep-Cheeps in the water, and a variety of enemies above water. At the start of this section is a ? Block containing a Carrot near an ant. Next is a Venus Fire Trap in a pipe, then a Piranha Plant in a pipe with a ? Block nearby which contains a Star. After this is the Mid-Point Bell.
Shortly after the next ant is a ? Block containing another Star. After that is a pipe Mario must go up. Once he swims up a bit, he is very close to the goal. Mario can go directly to the right and get past a couple Bee Flies to get right to the goal, or jump around the left side of the water to reveal Hidden Blocks leading him up to a long trail of coins. At the end is a coin arrow pointing down to the bell at the top of the goal.
