Super Mario series[edit]
Super Mario Galaxy[edit]
Honey in Super Mario Galaxy appears as a yellow sticky substance which coats sections of the ground on a single path in Honeyhive Galaxy. It is very sticky, causing Mario or Luigi to move more slowly, and restricting them into only being able to do low jumps. The honey path is part of the track Mario must travel across to reach the Power Star in the mission "Honeyhive Cosmic Mario Race". Cosmic Mario can also be slowed down by honey.
Honeybees can be found gathering the honey in buckets, claiming it is heavy. Honeycomb walls that Mario can stick to when in Bee form also appear in the game.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder[edit]
Honey reappears in Super Mario Bros. Wonder as part of the Wonder Effect used by Wonder Bowser Jr. when fought at the Fluff-Puff Peaks Palace, where it covers moving platforms to impede player characters' jumps and speed while occasionally being transformed into ice. The level's background also appears to be covered in honey when it appears on the moving platforms, but this has no effect on the player characters and Wonder Bowser Jr.
Mario Kart 7[edit]
Honey appears in Mario Kart 7 as large puddles in the Honeybee Hive battle course, where it drastically slows down the speed of any kart driving over it. Honey appears in only one of the seven rooms of the course.
