LAC Multi Cam Evaluation
When shooting the multi cam interview there were many strengths.
The target audience was aimed at a younger age range from around
16+ as the questions asked were for a young audience who want to
get into the editing industry. The idea of using someone very
familiar to this industry as it was more interesting to the younger
audience and they therefore would get more knowledge from
someone who has been in the business a long time. This video is
best for young people or anyone who wants to get into the editing
industry because the interviewee is high in that industry and will
have a lot of useful ideas and knowledge. I think that the production
as a whole worked really well as all of the group worked well
together with all of their roles. The floor plan worked really well
because all of the group worked in their spots and the people
working on cameras and sound worked very well together. We used
3 different cameras which worked well with the sound crew also.
Our product is special because it is a live broadcast and a multi cam
set up, normally most interviews will use a shot reverse shot, ours
being multi cam makes ours different. The floor plan and script
were very useful because we all had an idea of what was going to be
said and done on the day. Tom kept to the same script I had written
for him which became easier for us all to evaluate at the end once
the production was finished. When looking back at the broadcast we
were able to see how things could be changed and what could be
done next time we film a live product. I feel also the background
could have been a different colour as we chose to do black but when
watching the video I feel that it is too dark and doesn’t go well.
However, for our first time filming in multi cam was a very good
product that we have created. Also, when filming live you have to
get everything right the first time which we all managed to do and
no one messed up their role. I feel that the finally product was a
really good outcome and we all worked very well together.
