INTRODUCTION
• A key aspect of fire protection is to identify a
developing fire emergency in a timely manner and
to alert the building occupants and fire
organizations.
• Aim of the project is to detect the unwanted
presence of fire by monitoring environmental
changes.
• The purpose of a commercial or industrial fire
sprinkler system is to provide both life safety and
property protection
COMPONENTES
HARDWARE
• Microcontroller (AT89S52)
• LCD Display (16*2)
• Relay
• Water sprinkler
• Fire Sensor/Smoke Sensor
SOFTWARE
• Kiel µvision
BLOCK DIAGRAM
POWER SUPPLY
• Transformer results out with the lower voltage.
• The rectifier gives the maximum possible positive
voltage.
• Through filter circuit voltage of required range is
obtained
• Regulator(LM7805) removes if any ripples present in
the signal.
FIRE SENSOR
• We use a heat /flame detector
as an indicator of fire.
• As fire is detected, temperature
of heat sensitive element is detected.
• The fire sensor can detect fire up to a range of
1 meter.
• It can be used as a flame alarm or in fire
fighting robots.
RELAYS
• Also called electrically
operated switch.
• When the switch is on
current passes through
coil.
• In off condition, it is
de-energized and acts as open circuit.
WATER SPRINKLER
• Water is distributed through a system of pipes usually by
pumping.
• It is then sprayed into the air through sprinklers so that it
breaks up into small water drops which fall to the ground
LCD DISPLAY
• It can display
16 characters per line and
there are 2 such lines.
• In this LCD each character is displayed in 5x7
pixel matrix
• LCD as two registers
v.z.Command and Data Registers.
WORKING
• The fire sensor continuously checks the
presence of fire.
• When fire sensor detect the heat/fire/smoke it
sends the ACK to the MC
• It works around Micro Controller.
• When the fire detected the Micro Controller
takes control action and switch ON the Water
Sprinkler.
ADVANTAGES
• Reduces time and more safety.
• Less work and simple process.
• Reduces property damage and risk of death
if any.
• Maintenance free.
APPLICATIONS
• Used in Industries.
• Used in Shopping Malls.
• Used in Hospitals.
• In Educational Institutions.
CONCLUSION
• Most of the manual fire control will be replaced by
automation for their swift action in case of fire and their
location at unconventional positions difficult for human
interference.
