Segundina de Leon Leonor P. Alave

1) Segundina N. De Leon and Leonor P. Alave filed a complaint against Terencio Florendo, a court sheriff, with the NBI in Vigan City for estafa in 2013. 2) The NBI filed a complaint with the city prosecutor, who recommended filing an information against Florendo for estafa in regional trial court with a P30,000 bail bond. 3) Due to calls from Florendo's family pleading for forgiveness, De Leon and Alave decided not to push through with filing the case, hoping it would give Florendo a chance to change his ways through repentance and reconciliation.

We, SEGUNDINA N. DE LEON and LEONOR P. ALAVE, both Filipino

citizens, of legal ages, married and single respectively, residents of Vigan City,

and state the following, to wit:

That WE sought the assistance of the National Bureau of Investigation

(NBI), Vigan District, in connection with our complaint against Terencio
Florendo, in court sheriff of the Regional Trial Court, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur
sometime in 2013;

That after giving our sworn statements, the NBI filed a complaint against
said Mr. Florendo before the office of the City Prosecutor, for ESTAFA, docketed
as NPS Docket No. 1-14-INV-138-00024;

That on March 25, 2013, the office of the City Prosecutor, thru the
Honorable MA. CECILIA R. RIALUBIN, issued and signed a Resolution, the
disposition portion of which reads:

“WHEREFORE, based on the foregoing findings, an information against

respondent for Estafa under Article 315 (2A) is recommended filed in the
Regional Trial Court of Vigan City Bailbond recommended is P30,000.00”

Due to pertinent calls from the family of Mr. Florendo, his wife, friends
and other close relatives known to us, we have decided, out of pity, compassion
and in the spirit of forgiveness that we are no longer pushing through the filing
of the case against Mr. Terencio Florendo for Estafa, in the Regional Trial
Court;

That the spontaneous desistance we have finally arrived at, will

hopefully, give another opportunity for Mr. Terencio Florendo, a court Sheriff,
to change report or inform towards a better and more peaceful Christian way of
life, through the love of God and the Holy Spirit, and the gospel of repentance
and reconciliation with Him.

AFFIANTS FURTHER SAYETH NONE.
