Journal # 4 (Sandiwa): Your Presence Gives Justice!

1. In what CONCRETE ways can you embody and promote justice in your actions,
interactions, and relationships in your family and in your community? (Enumerate five
ways.)

 By actively listening to others and contemplating diverse viewpoints, I can foster fairness and
justice in my interactions by ensuring that everyone's voice is respected and heard.
 Engaging in acts of generosity and compassion toward others, and within my family and
community, can promote justice by cultivating a sense of compassion and understanding.
 Taking a stance contrary to discrimination and prejudice, whether or not through
campaigning, educating, or supporting, can promote justice and equality in my community.
 Investing in community initiatives, such as serving local causes or supporting organizations
that approach social issues, lets me exemplify justice through actions that promote positive
change.

 Encourage open dialogue and constructive conversations about issues related to social justice
in my family and community to promote awareness, comprehension, and the pursuit of
justice.

2. How can you ensure that your presence in the community reflects fairness and
contributes to the liberation of others? (Elaborate in five or more sentences.)

 Assist and amplify marginalized voices by proactively seeking out their experiences and
points of view, promoting their tales, and advocating for their rights using my platform.

 Engage in nonviolent protests, demonstrations, or gatherings in public with the purpose of

challenging oppressive systems and promoting liberation and equal treatment for all.

 Educate myself and others on social justice issues by remaining current on current events
while providing accurate information to discourage misinformation and increase awareness.
 Foster inclusivity and create spaces where people from diverse backgrounds feel welcome
and valued, actively challenging and confronting discriminatory behavior and biases.

 Contribute my skills, time, and resources to the efforts of community groups and initiatives
that promote liberation and social transformation.

3. What is your personal assessment of the impact of your presence in the community (in
the light of being a student) relevant to the promotion of unity and solidarity? Explain
in five or more sentences.

My presence in the community as a student could have a significant impact on fostering unity
and solidarity. My distinct perspective and vitality can inspire others and motivate collective
action toward shared objectives. I can actively contribute to nurturing a sense of cohesion and
solidarity by getting involved with activities that advocate unity, such as joining organizations,
coordinating community events, and taking part in collaborative projects. In addition, as a
student, I have the opportunity to influence my classmates and increase awareness about
contemporary social problems, thereby mobilizing others in the pursuit of justice.
My participation in discussions, initiatives, and campaigns pertaining to unity and solidarity can
generate a cascading effect, inspiring others to join and amplifying the effect. Ultimately, I can
contribute to developing a stronger and more interconnected community by acknowledging the
power of my presence and making use of it to promote unity, camaraderie, and solidarity.
Journal #5 (Sampuso): Your Presence gives Peace!

1. What is your PERSONAL concept of peace? Explain in three complete sentences.

Peace, in my view, is a condition of interior tranquility and harmony that extends beyond the
individual and embraces the external environment. It is characterized by an impression of
tranquility and satisfaction, where conflicts are settled and life's various aspects are in harmony.
Peace is a condition of well-being that promotes compassion, understanding, and cooperation,
and not just about the absence of turmoil, violence, or strife.

2. There is this contemporary song that starts with the line: "Let there be peace on earth,
and let it begin with me." How does this resonate with your personal concept of peace?
Elaborate in five complete sentences.

This song's lyric, "Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me," resonates strongly
with my personal conception of peace. It emphasizes that harmony is not something impersonal
that we passively await, but something to which we contribute actively. It emphasizes the
significance of personal accountability and individual behavior in fostering world harmony. We
acknowledge the significance of inner peace as the cornerstone for harmonious connections
and a peaceful society by acknowledging that peace begins within ourselves. It motivates us to
take responsibility for our actions, foster harmony in our interactions, and serve as agents of
positive change.

3. How can you intentionally cultivate a presence that brings peace to the community and
fosters harmonious relationships with others? (List down five concrete ways.)

 Practice engaged listening and compassion, seeking to comprehend the perspectives and
emotions of others without casting judgment.

 Opt for actions and words that promote harmony, and refrain from engaging in rumors,
conflicts, and divisive conversations.

 Kindness and assistance extended to those in need demonstrate compassion and generosity.
 Promote dialogue, comprehension, and compromise while mediating conflicts or
disagreements peacefully.

 Participate in activities that promote harmony, such as volunteering in the community,

advocating for constructive solutions, and coordinating celebrations of diversity and unity.
