Crochet Me Presents the 2012 Amigurumi Calendar Projects

Frankie began life as a baby lobster in the


oceans near New England. He soon discovered
that he was destined to become the contents
of a lobster roll . . . and he began plotting his
escape. Under the cover of night, he left to seek
a new life in the Midwest. Frankie has found a
human family to live with and is delighted with
his current job, providing cheer to folks who
need it!
Finished Size: 10" long.
Yarn: Worsted Weight (#4 Medium).
Shown Here: Plymouth Galway Worsted (100% wool;
210 yd [192 m]/3½ oz [100 g]; ): #16 red (MC), #01
white (CC), 1 ball each.
Hook: Size H/8 (5 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to
obtain correct gauge.
Notions: Yarn needle; two 12 mm black safety eyes; Toni Rexroat
polyester fiberfill.
Gauge: 5 rnds = 2" diameter in sc. Gauge is not critical
for this project.
Skill Level: Easy.
Rnd 1: With MC, ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook—6 sts.
Notes Rnds 2–7: Sc around.
Exact gauge is not necessary for this project. Gauge Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Do not stuff

Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Stuff claw. Flatten tail flap. Place tail flap centered on top of tail
pieces, with top of tail flap aligned with Rnd 16 of body.

Close opening as foll: Insert hook in next st and pull up
lp, sk next 2 sts, insert hook in next st and pull up lp, yo
and draw through all 3 lps on hook. Fasten off, leaving
a long tail. Thread tail through sts of last rnd and pull
gently to close opening. Knot securely and draw knot
to inside of head. Weave in ends.
