Cleansing diet

This diet aims improve body’s metabolism for future weight loss by initial weight loss of 3-4 kgs
in a week and intense detoxification.

Rules:

1. Drink at least 10 -12 glasses of water preferably lukewarm water.


2. Waking up in morning will be beneficial.
3. Only the foods mentioned should be taken.
4. Do not cheat. You must follow this diet strictly. Consume the foods mentioned for the day.
It is just a matter of week and trust me you will be proud of the results at the end of the
week.
5. Salt intake on first 4 days should be minimal.
6. Restricting salt intake is compulsory to avoid water retention.
7. No alcohol, aerated or fizzy drinks, not even soda.
8. Take a gap of minimum 4 days before following this diet again.
9. Do not follow this diet when lifting weights or doing heavy workouts. 30 minutes morning
walk or other exercises like yoga is preferable.

Day 1

All kind of fruits can be consumed except starchy and high calorie fruits like banana, mango, etc.
Sapota, kiwi, strawberries, blue berry, raspberry and exotic fruits like avocado (only once), etc. can
also be included in small amount. Drink 10-12 glasses of water. Do not add chaat masala or excess
salt. Only pinch of salt is acceptable. You may add lemon juice to improve flavor.

8:30-9:00 a.m. 1 big apple and 1-2 glass of lukewarm water.

10:30- 11:00 a.m. 1 bowl papaya and 2 glasses of water.

12:00- 1:30 p.m. 1 bowl of diced watermelon/ muskmelon and 2 glasses of water.

4:00- 4:30 p.m. 1 orange/ sweet lime/ sapota and 1-2 glasses of water or orange juice with
1 glass of water.

6:00- 6:30 p.m. 1 pear with 1 glass of water.

8:00-9:00 p.m. 1 bowl of diced apple and 2 glasses of water.


Day 2

Potatoes can be consumed only in morning. Other starchy vegetables like sweet potato, colocasia,
etc should be avoided. Low calorie vegetables should be consumed. Add herbs to add flavor and
only a pinch of salt can be added.

8:30-9:00 a.m. 1 cup boiled potato with 2 glasses of water

10:30- 11:00 a.m. 1 bowl of cabbage/green lettuce and red lettuce with 1 glass of water.

12:00- 1:30 p.m. 1 cucumber, 1 tomato and ½ boiled beetroot with 2 glasses of water.

4:00- 4:30 p.m. 2 tomatoes or 1 cup cherry tomatoes with 2 glasses of water.

6:00- 6:30 p.m. Mix vegetable juice (Add tomatoes, lauki, cucumber, spinach, beetroot, etc)

8:00-9:00 p.m. Boiled broccoli, cauliflower and asparagus with salt and spices. With 2
glasses of water.

Day 3

Combination of fruits and vegetables are consumed. Consume very less salt. Avoid oil and stachy
vegetables and fruits.

8:30-9:00 a.m. 1 cup diced apple with 1 glass of water or 1 bowl diced melon with 2 glasses
of water

10:30- 11:00 a.m. 1 bowl of cantaloupe mixed with papaya and 2 glasses of water.

12:00- 1:30 p.m. 1 bowl vegetable salad (1cucumber, 1 tomato and ½ boiled beetroot and
lettuce) with 2 glasses of water.

4:00- 4:30 p.m. 1 American pear with 2 glasses of water.

6:00- 6:30 p.m. Mixed juice (Add tomatoes,orange, sweetlime, beet ,cucumber etc.)

8:00-9:00 p.m. Boiled broccoli, lettuce, spinach and lauki with 2 glasses of water.

Day 4

Includes bananas and milk (skim milk). You can consume upto 4 bananas.

8:30-9:00 a.m. 1 Banana with 1 glass of warm milk (no sugar/ supplement added). With 2
glasses of water.
10:30- 11:00 a.m. ½ glass skimmed milk with 2 glasses of water

12:00- 1:30 p.m. ½ cup low fat yogurt (plain) and ½ cup tofu with 2 glasses of water.

4:00- 4:30 p.m. Banana Shake (1 banana with ½ glass of skimmed milk and no sugar) with
1 glass of water.

6:00- 6:30 p.m. 1 banana with 2 glasses of water.

8:00-9:00 p.m. 1 glass skimmed milk with 2 glasses of water

Day 5: Majorly consist of tomatoes and brown rice. Eat cucumber if you have problem with eating
raw tomatoes.

8:30-9:00 a.m. 1 bowl boiled or pressure cooked brown rice with 2 glasses of water.

10:30- 11:00 a.m. 1 cup of cherry tomatoes with 1 glass of water

12:00- 1:30 p.m. One bowl brown rice cooked in tomato gravy (no or few drops of oil) with
2 glasses of water.

4:00- 4:30 p.m. 2 tomatoes (add salt, pepper) and 2 glasses of water.

6:00- 6:30 p.m. 1 glass lemonade (salted)

8:00-9:00 p.m. 1 bowl boiled/ pressure cooked brown rice with salt and spices. With 2
glasses of water.

Day 6:

8:30-9:00 a.m. 1 bowl boiled or pressure cooked brown rice with 2 glasses of water.

10:30- 11:00 a.m. 2 cucumber with 1 glass of water

12:00- 1:30 p.m. One bowl brown rice cooked with vegerables (carrot, tomato, broccoli,
cauliflower, onion, etc) with 2 glasses of water.

4:00- 4:30 p.m. 2 tomatoes/ cucumber (add salt, pepper) and 2 glasses of water.

6:00- 6:30 p.m. 1 glass lemonade (salted)

8:00-9:00 p.m. 1 bowl boiled/ steamed/ soup vegetables (cabbage, carrot, beet,
cucumber, tomatoes with salt and spices) with 2 glasses of water.
Day 7:

8:30-9:00 a.m. 1 bowl boiled or pressure cooked brown rice with 2 glasses of water.

10:30- 11:00 a.m. 1 apple with 1 glass of water

12:00- 1:30 p.m. One bowl brown rice cooked with vegetables (carrot, tomato, broccoli,
cauliflower, onion, etc) with 2 glasses of water or mixed vegetable salad
with 2 glasses of water.

4:00- 4:30 p.m. 2 cucumber (add salt, pepper) and 2 glasses of water.

6:00- 6:30 p.m. 1 mixed juice (Add tomatoes,orange, sweetlime, beet ,cucumber etc.)

8:00-9:00 p.m. 1 bowl boiled/ steamed/ soup vegetables (cabbage, carrot, beet,
cucumber, tomatoes with salt and spices) with 2 glasses of water.

Recipes:

Cabbage Soup:

1 Cup shredded cabbage

1 celery stick

1 green chili

1 Medium onion (finely chopped)

Method: Pressure-cook all the above vegetables in 4 cups of water. Add salt and seasonings.
Serve Hot.

Note: Add other vegetables in desired quantities for mixed vegetable soup. Add less salt. Use
lemon, herbs, pepper powder to improve the flavor of the soup.

Try drinking this soup instead for better results.

6 large Onions

2 Green Chili

3 medium Tomatoes

1 bunch Celery
700 ml Water

Few Drops of Olive Oil

Method: Dice all the vegetables. Sauté onions and green chilies in olive oil till they turn light
brown. Add rest of the vegetables and water. Cover the lid and boil for 40-50 min on slow flame.
Add salt and pepper.
