Mini scarf “Pearl”

By Stoncusknit (Veronika Stoncus)

Gauge
10x10 cm = 20 stitches x 24 rows
The sample is knitted in double moss stitch, as
shown in the chart on the page 3 . Use size 4
needles (I recommend circular needles with an
80 cm cord, but double-pointed needles can also
be used). See Chart A.

Size
One size / Length: 140 cm (before washing: 112
cm, using Drops Air yarn) / Width: 12 cm.
P.S. The length after washing may vary when using
diSerent yarn.

Yarn
Drops Air (65% alpaca, 28% polyamide, 7% wool;
50 g/150 m).
You will need 50 g for this project.
P.S. If you plan to use a diSerent yarn, you may
need slightly more. Drops Air is very light and airy,
which is why the required amount is so small.

Additional Materials Needed

Circular needles size 4 (I recommend a 60/80 cm
cord).
Scissors.
Measuring tape.
Row counter.
Tapestry needle with a rounded tip.
Two markers.

Abbreviations
St(s): Stitch(es).
K - Knit.
P - Purl.
Row
Sl1 - Slip one stitch without knitting.
M1 - Make 1 by creating a yarn over with the working yarn toward the "back" (the loop points to the right).
See the video: https://youtu.be/yZAFWIqCGYw.
Purl last st: Always purl the last stitch at the end of each row.
K2tog: Knit two stitches together with a right-leaning decrease.

Row 9 : Sl1, P , K , P , L , P , purl the last stitch
Row 10: Sl1, M1, K , P , K , P , K , purl the last stitch

Increasing Stitches
Continue in this manner, increasing 1 stitch every second row. Repeat the increases 16 more times until
you have a total of 24 stitches on the needles.

Length and Pattern Following

Knit back and forth in rows following Chart A for a total of 219 rows (approximately 80 cm).

Binding OY
Set a new reference point for the bind-oS:
Row 1 : Sl1, work 20 stitches following the pattern, K2tog , purl the last stitch.
Row 2 : Knit according to the pattern.
Row 3 : Sl1, work 19 stitches according to the pattern, K2tog, purl the last stitch.
Row 4 : Knit according to the pattern.

Repeat this process, binding oS 1 stitch every second row, until 4 stitches remain (the original cast-on
count). Knit two additional rows following the pattern, then bind oS the remaining stitches.

Finishing
Your mini scarf is now complete! Wash the scarf, squeeze out the excess water, and lay it flat on a towel to
dry. Stretch it slightly lengthwise to ensure the scarf gains additional length.
When using Drops Air yarn, the scarf should stretch to about 140 cm after washing. If using a diSerent
yarn, the length may vary.
