POPPY DOLLY
This doll will measure approximately 38cm (15 inches) tall
Knitted in the round on 4 double pointed needles
Materials required:
50g flesh coloured dk yarn
50g white dk yarn
Yarn for hair – boucle or poodle
7mm wide Ribbon for hair
Crochet hook
4 double pointed needles 2.25mm
2 x 20mm toy joints for arms
2 x 25mm toy joints for legs
Embroidery thread for eyes and mouth
Wool sewing needle
Bag of good toy stuffing
Abbreviations:

HAIR
Fringe
Cut a piece of ribbon 2 ½” long
Cut strands of yarn approximately 2” long and spread over the
ribbon, stitch along the centre of the ribbon and sew to head across
the face from left to right above the eyes with the ribbon facing
down
Main hair piece
Cut a piece of ribbon long enough to go all the way round the head
from top to bottom
Cut strands of yarn 12” long and sew to ribbon leaving 2” above the
ribbon
Pin to head with ribbon facing up and short strands over crown of
head with strong thread, sew to head.
Sew down the short ends to cover head
Pull up into pony tail on top of head and fasten with pony tail elastic
Trim ponytail to neaten
