TANDAG CENTRAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
The Department of Education (DepEd) recognizes the need for an effective and
transparent performance management and evaluation system to ensure the continuous
improvement of teachers' competencies and overall educational outcomes. In alignment
with DepEd Memorandum No. 017, s. 2025, the Interim Guidelines for the DepEd
Performance Management and Evaluation System have been established to provide
clear directives on assessing and enhancing teachers' performance in School Year
2024-2025.
This Learning Action Cell (LAC) session aims to familiarize teachers with the revised
guidelines, ensuring a unified understanding of the evaluation criteria, rating processes,
and professional development opportunities embedded in the system. By equipping
educators with the necessary knowledge and tools, the orientation fosters
accountability, motivation, and excellence in teaching practices, ultimately benefiting
both learners and the education sector.
Through this initiative, teachers will gain clarity on their roles and responsibilities within
the performance management framework, enabling them to align their instructional
strategies with DepEd’s standards and expectations. Moreover, the dissemination of
these interim guidelines will serve as a platform for discussion, feedback, and
collaboration, ensuring that the performance evaluation system is implemented
effectively and fairly.
iii. Program or Course Description
This LAC session provides an in-depth discussion on the Interim Guidelines for the
Performance Management and Evaluation System, emphasizing its key components
and practical application in teaching performance. Participants will be guided on the
expectations, processes, and assessment tools necessary for effective implementation.
iv. Professional Development Priorities
