Place eyes between rounds 8 and 9, Leaving 11 holes between them. 1st Eye is placed before
the 2nd increase between rounds 8 and 9. Count 11 holes after the first eye and place the 2nd
eye. If you want the sunken eye look, do not place the backs of the eyes on until row 17.
TIP! You may have to adjust the eye placement depending on yarn and hook size you use.
15. (5 sc, dec) x 6= 36
16. (4 sc, dec) x 6= 30
17. (3 sc, dec) x 6= 24
Now for the eyes. Stuff the head well. Cut a long piece of yarn and remove the eyes. Place the
needle in the hole where the first eye was and thread the needle into a hole next to the eye
hole. Go back and forth between each eye hole repeating the process from the first eye. Pull
slightly on the yarn after going through each hole. Do this about 3 times on each side until you
reach the look you want. Follow the pictures for help. There is also a youtube video I have for
extra help on this process.

To place the backs of the eyes you will need to remove most of the stuffing to place the
washers on the eyes then re stuff it.

Assembly
Head and Body:
1. Cut a strand of white yarn. Thread your needle and insert the needle into a hole on
the side of the head. Bring the needle up to a corner on the lower part of the eye. Insert
the needle into a hole above the eye. Repeat for the 2nd eye. Weave the yarn tails in the
head.
2. Pin the head onto the body for extra support when sewing.
3. Sew the body and head together. You may need to add a little more stuffing as you
sew.
Sweet Oddity Art 10
Belly:
1. Pin the belly onto the dragon’s stomach. The bottom of the belly will be
approximately between rounds 6 and 7.
2. Sew the belly onto the dragon
Sweet Oddity Art 11
Arms:
1. Pin the arms in a forward facing angle on the side of the body underneath the neck.
There are no certain row placements as I just try to decide based on look where the
arms should go.
2. Sew them onto the body
Tip! Closing the seam by crocheting over the opening will make sewing it to the body
Easier. Also the arms will lay nicely flat, instead of sticking out!
Ears:
1. Pinch the ears on the bottom and sew up about 2 stitches to give the closed look.
2. Pin the ears onto the head approximately between rounds 13 and 15 of the head.
3. Sew the ears onto the head.
4. Pin the horns onto the head next to the ears.
I did not stuff my horns
5. Sew the horns onto the head.

Additional Information
How to make a bob or bobble stitch:
Begin a double crochet in the proper stitch. Change the color of yarn for this dragon.
*It will be easier if you carry the yarns instead of changing the colors each time you make a
bobble stitch*
Yarn over and bring up a loop(you will have 3 loops on your hook), Yarn over and draw through
2 loops on your hook
Sweet Oddity Art 19
Yarn over, insert your hook into your stitch, bring up a loop(you will now have 4 loops on your
hook), yarn over and draw through 2 loops on your hook, insert your hook into the same stitch,
bring up another loop(You will have 5 loops on your hook), yarn over and draw through 2 more
loops on your hook.
Keep track of how many loops you have on your hook. Yarn over and draw through all 4 loops
you have on your hook then ch 1 and move on to the next stitches with green. Repeat the
bobble stitch for every toe.
Sweet Oddity Art 20
Working on the opposite side of the chain:
This is an example picture!
Start by creating your foundation chain. The amount of chains will be given in your pattern.
Work the stitches given across the chain.
Now, turn your work upside down into the remaining back loops of the chain stitches.
Work the next stitches into the back chains across.
When you are finished, the last stitch you made will be next to your first stitch.
*The number of stitches you make on one side of the chain should be the same amount on the
opposite side of the chain. Depending on what you are making you may join the end of your
round to the beginning with a slip stitch, or you may continue crocheting in a spiral fashion. If
you are to join this will be indicated in the pattern you are making.*

Helpful Tips:
Exact Colors and Brand of Yarn Used:
1. Green: I love this yarn Keylime
2. Pink: I love this yarn Hot Rose
3. Light green: I love this yarn Menthe
4. White: I love this yarn White
5. Blue: I love this yarn Peacock
You can use different eye and nose sizes. You might have to adjust the placements if you
change the sizes.
You can use different hook sizes and weights of yarn. It will just change the size of your dragon
and you might need to adjust eye and nose placement.
How you stuff matters! The type of stuffing you use, how you stuff, all this matters on how your
dragon turns out. I prefer Polyfil stuffing but you can use other types.
