Greetings!
Republic Act 10121 Section 2(n) “Develop and strengthen the capacities of
vulnerable and marginalized groups to mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover
from the effects of disasters” as part of the country’s on-scene disaster response
system to ensure the effective consequence management of disasters or
emergencies. One of the strategic thrusts of the municipality is to enhance and
strengthen the capabilities of our Emergency Response Team to effectively provide
emergency services and public assistance during or immediately after a disaster to
save lives, reduce health impacts, ensure public safety, and meet the basic
subsistence needs of the people affected.
In this regard, may we humbly request your approval by allowing our Emergency
Responders to undergo Water Search and Rescue & Rescue Boat Operation and
Maintenance (WASAR-RBOM) Training Course. We believe that this training will
surely strengthen our Municipal DRRM Council and our communities thru our
emergency response team to manage disaster as first responders and manage the
adverse effects of emergencies and carry out recovery activities in our locality.
