Cyclops Devil

Bucket Hat Pattern


Including Two different styles of Brim and Video Tutorials for All Accessories
(Eye, EyeLid, Horns, & Ears)

KEY TERMS (US)

MR: Magic Ring


SL: Slip Stitch
SC: Single Crochet
HDC: Half Double Crochet
DC: Double Crochet
FLO: Front Loop Only

Using a 4.5 or 5mm Hook (personally I like


the 4.5 more) & medium weight 4 yarn
Bucket Hat (pg 1)
Start with a MR

Round 1:

CH 2, DC 12 into MR,

Pull MR closed,

SL into first CH 1 space.


Bucket Hat (pg 2)
Round 2:

CH 2, DC 2 into same stitch,

Continue working DC 2 along entire row

SL into CH 1 space.
Bucket Hat (pg 3)
Round 3

CH 2, DC 1 into same stitch,

DC 2 into next stitch,

Continue working DC 1, DC 2 along


entire row,

SL into CH 1 space.
Bucket Hat (pg 4)
Round 4

CH 2, DC 1 into same stitch,

DC 1, DC 2,

Continue working DC 1 (x2), DC 2 along


entire row,

SL into CH 1 space.
Bucket Hat (pg 5)
NOTE: for a normal head size I would
skip this row and move onto the next. I
have a large head lol
Round 5
CH 2, DC 1 into same stitch,
DC 1 (x 2), DC 2,
Continue working DC 1 (x3), DC 2 along
entire row,
SL into CH 1 space.

Round 6

CH 2, DC 1 into same stitch,

DC 1 (x4), DC 2,

Continue working DC 1 (x5), DC 2 along


entire row,

NOTE: you’ll end the row with extra stitches


after last DC 2, just work normal DCs into
them and trust the process

SL into CH 1 space.
Bucket Hat (pg 7)
Round 7

CH 2, DC 1 into same stitch,

DC 1 along entire row,

SL into CH 1 space.

Repeat round 8 until desired length.


Bucket Hat Brim (pg 8)

Ruffled Brim will be the pattern in

Working into FLO, DC 1 (x3), DC 2
Working into FLO, DC 1, DC 2 around around entire row,

CH 2, DC 1 into same stitch,
Round 2
DC 1 (x4), DC 2,
CH 2, DC 1 into same stitch,
Continue working DC 1 (x5), DC 2 along
DC 1 (x2), DC 2,

Continue working DC 1 (x3), DC 2 along
SL into CH 1 space
entire row,

SL into CH 1 space.
NOTE: small ruffles may appear, just try
the hat on and slightly stretch them out until
they lay flat
Bucket Hat Brim (pg 11)
Round 3
Round 3 CH 2, DC 1 into same stitch,
Repeat Round 2 until desired DC 1 (x5), DC 2,
ruffles achieved. Continue working DC 1 (x6), DC 2 along
entire row
SL into CH 1 space
(continue working rows, increasing the (x)
amounts by 1 every row, until desired length
achieved)

OPTIONAL FOR EITHER VERSIONS: I like to finish with a full row of HDC to give it a bit of weight.
CH 1, HDC into same stitch, HDC 1 along entire row, SL into CH 1 space.
