The Delovely shawlette (updated version) mixes 90cm (w) x 30cm (h)
simple garter stitch with an intricate Shetland lace
edging. As a result, the shawl is completely reversible Gauge (in garter stitch)

The following chart is worked flat in garter stitch - meaning stitches are knitted both right and wrong sides. All

Cast on 14 sts. Repeat this row more 8 times.

Repeat these two rows once more. Now you are going to start working short rows.

Start chart (look at the last page). Work rows Setup row:
1-28 fifteen (15) times. Right Side: k to marker, slip marker, k2, ssk.
Turn.
Wrong side: slip first st. K to the marker, slip
Finishing border marker, k2, k2tog. Turn.
After you have done the last row of edging:
row 1: K. Now, you are going to do:
row 2: YO, k2tog, k to the end of row. Row 1 (RS): slip 1st, k to last turn-stitch, k2,
Repeat the last two rows once more. ssk. Turn.
Row 2 (WS): slip 1st, k to last turn-stitch, k2,
Bind off remaining sts, but not the last one. k2tog. Turn.
Don't break yarn. (optional: break yarn and
work with second color) Do the rows 1 and 2 until all the sts are back
on needles.

Shawl K next 4 rows.


With the right side facing you, pick up the
stitches along side the edging. Each yarn over Finishing
you did previously = 1 st. Total 214 sts. Bind off loosely.

Turn your work (WS). Knit 107 sts, place a Weave in ends and block firmly.

Next row (RS), K up to the last 2 sts


before marker, Kb&f twice, slip mark-

Total 109 + 109 = 218sts
