                                      Two friends will equally share the toy cars between them. How many cars will each get?
                                      Ask the following questions.
                                          1.   How many toy cars are in the given set?
                                          2.   How many toy cars are in friend A?
                                          3.   How many toy cars are in friend B?
                                          4.   What can you say about the number of toy cars in friend A and friend B?
                                          5.   What can you say about the total number of cars in friend A and B compared

                                      Tell to the learners:
                                      When a given set of objects is divided into two smaller groups such that each group has the
                                      same number of objects, then we say that the given set has been divided into halves or two
                                      equal parts. We call each part one-half of the given set.

                                          2. What does ½ mean?
                                          3. What does “3” mean?
