ROSE GOL D

This reversible, brioche shawl uses two contrasting gradient kits simultaneously, to melt from lighter to
darker, ending in a beautiful undulating lace pattern. The squishy brioche is like a good friend hugging
your shoulders and keeping you warm from the brisk air of the changing seasons.
//Details//
Yarn: Fingering weight yarn in two colors (or two gradient sets) 165g/ 675yd each
Suggested Yarn: Black Trillium Gradient Sets (165g/ 675yd total per kit) Main Color - Sheaf; Contrast Color -
Jam
Needles: Size US 4/3.5mm (32in/80cm circular recommended)
Notions: Removeable stitch marker & tapestry needle
Gauge: 27 sts and 31.5 rows = 4in/10cm over Brioche
Finished Measurements: Wingspan - 74in/ 188cm, Center Depth - 15.5in/ 40cm

//Abbreviations// BRP - brioche purl; purl the slipped stitch and its “yarn
BR4ST DEC - You will utilize the next 5 sts on your over shawl” together as one stitch.

Turn.
Repeat [Rows 2A/B-9A/B] until your border
measures approx. 8in/ 20cm wide, ending with
either Row 5A/B or 9A/B.

Bind off on a wrong side row as follows: Using MC,


p1, yo, purl the next stitch. You now have 3 stitches
on your right needle. Pass the first 2 stitches over the
3rd. Yarn over and purl another stitch. Continue
slipping the first 2 stitches over the 3rd until only 1
stitch remains on your needle. Break the yarn leaving
a 5in/ 13cm tail, pull it through your last live stitch
and pull tight to close it. Weave in your ends and
block very gently.
