Puff Pastry

Ingredients:
Cheese Bacon Mushroom carrot onion basil leaves square of puff pastry oil a little milk

Equipment:
large bowl dinner knife baking tray teaspoon rolling pin small saucepan sharp knife

Oven:
200C Gas 6-7

Time:
10-15 minutes

Method:
1. Dice the onions and chop up the bacon into small pieces. Slice the mushrooms and peel the garlic ready for crushing. 2. Put a little oil into the pan and fry off the onion until soft. Add the bacon and cook for a further minute. Then add the mushroom and crush the garlic and add that too. 3. Remove from the heat and set aside. 4. Roll out the pastry into a large square, then cut into 4 smaller squares. 5. Place some of the onion and bacon mix into the middle of the pastry square. Line the edge with milk using your finger. 6. Secure the filling inside by folding and making around 10 different shapes. 7. Place on baking tray and glaze the shapes with milk and put into oven. 8. Cook for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.

9. Remove and place on cooling tray and cool slightly.
