Pancakes

Ingredients:
100g plain flour teaspoon salt 1 egg 250ml milk small amount of oil

Equipment:
large mixing bowl measuring jug wooden spoon small frying pan fish slice

Fillings:
Sweet- lemon juice, sugar, jam Savoury- cheese, bacon, onion.

Method:
1. Place flour and salt in bowl and make a well in the middle. 2. Crack the egg and drop into the well you have made, add HALF of the milk. 3. Slowly beat and draw all of the flour into the milk and egg, when it starts to combine beat harder. 4. Add the rest of the milk and beat until you have a smooth liquid without any lumps. 5. Pour a little oil into the frying pan and heat on the hob. 6. Gently pour a little mixture into the pan. Do not move the mixture around, let it cook until set. 7. Free the pancake from the sides of the pan with the fish slice and turn it over to cook on the other side. 8. When cooked place onto a plate and cook the remainder of the mixture in the same way. 9. Put your choice of filling onto pancake then roll it up.
