Stuntman Mike (Kurt Russell) is a professional body double who likes to take unsuspecting women for deadly drives in his free time. He has doctored his car for maximum impact; when Mike purposely causes wrecks, the bodies pile up while he walks away with barely a scratch. The insane Mike may be in over his head, though, when he targets a tough group of female friends, including real-life stuntwoman Zoe Bell (who served as Uma Thurman's double in "Kill Bill"), who plays herself.

Death Proof may feel somewhat minor in the context of Tarantino's larger filmography, but on its own merits, it packs just enough of a wallop to deliver sufficiently high-octane grindhouse goods.

Tarantino truly succeeded in capturing the feel of an early '70s grindhouse movie with Death Proof. Kurt Russell shines in his role. He brings his effortless charisma to the character of Stuntman Mike and was easily the standout. Beyond that, the car chases and stunt scenes were phenomenal—especially leading into the finale, where I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen. However, it is definitely one of Tarantino's weaker films. Its way too talky at times and despite the witty banter, the story can drag. I also found the decision to split the story into two confusing. But overall, I thought it was very well done and entertaining.

The first half was better than the 2nd, Kurt Russel's charisma was off the charts, the girls all where all great to look at and all acted well. The dialogue was natural and flowing like Tarantinos does but definitely his weakest movie as some scenes of dialogue drag on too long and the 2nd half didnt capture the 1st half's and could of easily been 15 minutes shorter

Death Proof is a pretty crazy movie and it's uninteresting. At first you think it's going to have a suspenseful or paranoid vibe, then you realize it's just a crazy psychopath wanting to kill young people on the road.
