Great Customer Service

As a lawyer I find the customer service at ALPS to be excellent. Their process for renewing the policy each year online is very streamlined. When I call with a question and leave a message they have always promptly gotten back to me.

ALPS Excellent Communication about its Policies

Shawn MacDonald is an excellent representative for ALPS. He provided clear information about the policy provisions and endorsements, and the related costs. He is very knowledgeable about the working circumstances of a practicing attorney, so it was easy to explain my pro bono work.

I love the small company feel

I love the small company feel. The accessibility to people to answer my questions. Underwriting is a bit of a mystery to me. In my case, my practice has become limited to the point of near retirement, yet my premium doesn’t change. I’m sure there’s some reason for that that I’m not appreciating. Thank you for our long relationship.

When a firm has been continuously insured with ALPS for several years as you have, the claims-made and reported policies automatically go back and pick up all your prior acts back to the first date you were insured with ALPS. While I can assure you that the underwriter takes into consideration your many years with ALPS, they must also take into consideration the many years of coverage the policy continues to provide.

I was disappointed in the price

I was disappointed in the price. I have been practicing for over 30 years without one problem or bar complaint. That should count for a sizable discount but it doesn’t. Also my area of law should be a cause for a discount.

We rate all policies according to the area of practice provided on the application. Area of practice rates are based on the average number of claims experienced for that type of practice. Please know that we monitor our rates and strive to provide the best value for the product we provide.

ALPS staff has always gone the extra…

ALPS staff has always gone the extra mile for us. Our coverage is excellent. Even when purchasing a company vehicle that went after normal business hours, they worked late to complete setting up coverage for us.

Robin was wonderful

Robin was wonderful!

What an amazing staff you have. ALPS autofilled my old information when I did my application so they didn't have my correct phone number or email. When I contacted the main phone number, I was transferred to Robin. She corrected the error immediately and sent the quote to me and followed up the next day to ensure I received it. She was in constant communication with me and did follow-ups every time she sent me something. She also found answers to every one of my questions and made sure she answered them in a way I could understand. Her customer service was excellent!

IT was easy and quick

IT was easy and quick! It seems as though NOTHING is easy and quick anymore. But the renewal process with ALPS is because you know your policy holders and you know they'd rather be practicing law than filing out renewal forms. Thanks ALPS!

Super easy and good value

Super easy and good value. I didn't shop much becuase this was endorsed by my state bar association and it was a very easy and seamless and quick process. Good customer service! Provided some additinal options for upgrades that seemed worthwhile.
