Website is easy to navigate

Website is easy to navigate, but there is a lack of information on some items. I was interested in a bedding set that gave no info on if it was washable. Furniture lacks info on drawer glides and hinges and joints.

I thoroughly recommend Homemakers. All the team were extremely helpful, polite, efficient and hardworking. I hadn't expected them to clear everything, but they did. And I am so reassured to know that everything will be reused and recycled as far as possible. Thank you to everyone at Homemakers.

Des Moines Iowa Store

In the Des Moines Iowa store today, Jolene helped us with our purchase and was very very helpful, kind, took her time, no commission, yet she spent alot of time and effort helping us pickout our pieces and checking on stock, etc. In the last week I had been in there and spent hours choosing what I wanted and there were tons of employees, standing around and usually walked away if they saw a customer coming. She came up to us and was cheerful and wanting to help.

Purchase process was easy

Purchase process was easy, but tried to ask a question by chat and was told service staff was busy. Did not receive any further contact from them.

Great company

I really love the service and selection at Homemakers. Any time I can buy anything from someone other than the bald headed billionair Jeff Bezos it's a great day. Even though this store's owner Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway they still follow those original Iowa values from the original owners, the Merschman family.

WAYYYYY too many pop-ups

WAYYYYY too many pop-ups. Almost canceled my order completely. Ended up going through with a 2,000$ purchase but it took several deep breaths to get through this ad-ridden website.

Homemakers Makes It Easy

I had a great shopping experience at the Homemakers website. The selection is fabulous and the webiste is very professionally laid out. I'm also impressed with Homemakers wide range of quality furniture and was surprised that they deliver to my location which is 2.5 hrs away from Urbandale. Thanks everyone...

ORDER NEVER SHIPPED-BUT CARD CHARGED

The website showed the item would be available by August 21, 2024. I ordered and never received any further notification that the item was being processed or shipped. They charged my card and when August 21 arrived and I never received any shipping notification (other than a charge on my credit card) I contacted the company and cancelled the order. Now it is September 5 and they have not credited my card !!!! I am PISSED... the order was almost $500.00... DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

I had our accounting team look into this furhter and there was an error on our end. Our system did not remove the shipping fee so it did not send the ticket to process your refunded. That error was corrected and the refund has been processed. We will look into this issue further to make improvements. In Store and Online Experience

We stopped in the store on Douglas in Des Moines and a sales person understood what we wanted and took us right to the item. He gave all the informatoin we needed to decide if it worked in our room. We came home and evaluated and it worked so I created an account online in a few minutes, found the item by SKU # thanks to the sales person's suggestion we take a photo to make identification easy. I place the order and was done in minutes and received free delivery as well.

Shop at a store that cares about its customers!

The prices and information on the website are wonderful. All the information about the company is so appealing: it is refreshing to be able to buy from a company owned by actual people who stay in a town and support it. When I needed a question answered, I got a prompt response from an actual human. Again, it was really different from most other dealings with bigger companies. When I need other furniture, I will start at Homemakers.
