My printer just died, after 13 years.. can't complain about that.

Also had a customer in the shop once 5 years ago exact same printer so, he sure used it a long time too.

Pixma print plan has been a TOTAL SCAM for my 80+ y.o. father. After several months he NEVER received any cartridge to replace the used ones and I finally discovered that he has been ordering new ones on Amazon while paying the Canon monthly fees...

Then today his credit card has been renewed and thus replaced by a new one, with the result being an unoperable printer, even after having updated the credit card numbers on the Canon web site.

This is the MOST SHITTY NON-SERVICE for direct customers I ever encountered !

I bought a Canon Pixma TR4755i printer/scanner recently. I still cannot get it to print, something to do with "cannot connect to server". I have followed every help page I could find, it is to do with the ink print subscription which they sent me. I now find although I have a subscription and correct ink types it will still not print. I now have to buy non subscription cartridges to allow me to print. In my opinion, I would avoid Canon like the plague, I am going back to my old HP printer. Its a con

As a professional wedding photographer using Canon gear exclusively for over 10 years, I am deeply disappointed by the official customer support in Slovakia.

I reached out via their official ticketing system (ref: 04559605) to ask for an opportunity to hands-on test the new flagship Canon EOS R1 before making a purchase. After two weeks of generic emails, internal transfers between departments, and complete silence from higher technical support, I received zero actual assistance or clear answers.

It is frustrating that after a decade of loyalty and heavy investment in this brand, the official support cannot handle a simple request from a pro user.

Canon’s official support process in this region is slow, bureaucratic, and unresponsive to working professionals.

Seems to me that we all now need degrees in Computer Studies in order to be capable of using their equipment these days. Just returned Selphy1500 due to my inability to load anything that operated properly. Wifi, USB and even the ever faithful SD card - all failed for one reason or another.

No wonder why the rating is awful
Wish I had seen this before purchasing canon printer and subscription.
Just a note to users that once the subscription is activated even if you print using your own cartridges the count will appear in your consumption/count.
The advisor asked me to install old cartridges and activate the service as the printer was undetectable when I installed the new cartridges. So after activating I printed a few pages to test the printer was working before instances cartridges and the count was shown under subscription usage. Tried to get in touch for help and they said it’s the system design and there no way around it. Really ? Please try to make life was for people.

I bought a Canon TM300 3 years ago. The printer has many mistakes. I payed over 1000 euros an it is still not printing.

Great. Quick delivery, items which were ordered were all delivered well and with care and via a decent (UPS) courier.

Next day delivery without any additional cost. And it was next day.

Product itself is excellent but I knew that going in as had done my research.

WHAT CAN I SAY. WHAT A SHIT PIECE OF CRAP THIS IS. FIVE HOURS WITH CHATGPT AND I STILL CANNOT GET THIS HEAP OF CRAP TO PRINT AN IMAGE CENTERED VERTICALLY AND HORIZONTALLY IN THE MIDDLE OF AN A5 PIECE OF PAPER. TRIED EVERYTHING. EVERY LAST THING AND IT WILL NOT DO IT. THEN I READ LOTS OF OTHER PEOPLE HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM .. I AM STUPID YOU ARE THINKING AS YOU READ THIS .. HOW HARD CAN IT BE TO PRINT AN IMAGE CENTERED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PAGE. NORMALLY NOT HARD .. JUST TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE WITH CANON

Canon MG 2556S went wrong , shop replaced it under warranty , it lasted 2 weeks before it died , off to buy a decent brand.

I replaced the ink cartridge on my TS5151 a couple of months ago, after it was telling me it's about to run out of ink for years. Great way to sell overpriced ink.

Anyway I replaced the both colour and back cartridges a couple of months ago.

I was in the middle of printing a very important document, when the printer comes up with a "Ink Cartridge no recognised", I searched for the error and lots of people have had the same problem. I know what canon will say, but oooh you should only buy genuine ink from us, because we need the money.

B*ll*cks to them I say. I'll throw this one away, and write them a bad review. Money grabbing thieves.

this is on top of the nonsensical graphics and other error messages and taking ages to power up.

I have to agree the last straw today was trying to reconnect a printer with a new wifi network. I contacted help and got the rudest bot or real person, I could not tell who told me to switch on my computer and printer and then proceeded to ask me if they had been helpful!! i asked it if it was joking!! The chat ended with the bot or real person calling me an idiot!! how helpful from one of the biggest companies on the planet. The printer is now in the bin and Canon blacklisted.

Family member bought a pixma printer. Horrible to set up, and drinks ink like a fish. Paper feed does not work properly. Error messages on screen due to crap, overbloated driver software on Windows 10. Otoh my linux laptop with NO canon printer crapware installed, printed straight away once the paper feed issue was resolved. Canon also changed the ink formula, and the driver. The printer will not recognise the cartridges bought before the update. Total SCAM. I had to print a one page document, and because I do not own a printer myself, was offered to use this one. After tearing my hair out I borrowed an old epson printer which worked straight away and is totally reliable. Screw you Canon. Next time the canon printer fails miserably, I shall take a lump hammer to it!

Purchased a Canon TS3355 recently and what a load of crap!! If you want a small home printer to print very minimal amounts not very often, swerve this product. 20 minutes to print half a page of text, had to leave it overnight to print off a 7 page word document and if your thinking of printing pictures....don't even bother. This is without a doubt the most frustrating, not fit for purpose lump of plastic I have purchased. The most satisfying thing was smashing it up and throwing it in the bin where it now rests.

Needed a new printer did not want to pay a lot, now I wish I had and another brand. Canon Pixma TS375OO model, inkjet ,wireless, no it isn't. £49.99 a set of cartridges same price, shocking.
No manual, the QR code would not scan, had to fanny about online just to put in the cartridges, sorted out the link to my iphone ok. Will not connect to my laptop right next to it on the desk, it's not an old laptop. Had to use a USB cable just to try to print an examlpe letter, hopeless, My old printer was an Epson, it was basic but it was easy to set up and install it to the laptop. I tried to use this printer wireless from my phone to print a letter example, difficult to do then I would not let me do it, something about the connection not being safe. I gave up after that. Would not buy Canon products again. I may dump this printer and buy another. I’ve nearly used the black ink cartridge just trying to print off a letter.

Horrific experience with customer service. I bought a nearly £300 printer from Canon and I've sent emails for over a month regarding my cashback. Not a reply. You speak to live chat and they refer you back to the same email. I've been waiting on £120 cash back and I know I will never get it. Will be buying from another brand in future.

Update: I FINALLY got a reply after months, they are claiming a “technical issue” which was resolved, but they STILL haven’t paid me and refuse to tell me when I’ll be paid, when I was due this money months ago!!! Absolutely horrific customer service. Never again.

I purchased a Canon R6 mkII. The marketing of a cashback offer of £400 was what tempted me into the purchase. Whilst at this stage i am happy with the camera, i am unhappy with is the fact that i purchased my camera on the 3rd of January and as at now the 13th April I still have not received my cashback. I have had to chase numerous times and generally either get a very slow or non response. The last email i got dated 27th Feb 2026 said i would receive funds within 4-6 weeks. Guess what! 6 weeks has now passed and still nothing! A great dissapointment from a company i thought was premium.

It's a shock to discover here so much upset around Canon!
Following struggles with an old Brother printer, I had months of further pain, with my HP 4100e driving me to a replacement desktop Mac and a tech's visit. But life with 'ghastly' Sequoia OS was worse: it even baffled him. That cost a bit.
Next bought Canon TS6550i: now all sweetness and light! Immediate copy, print, scan - and very good colour pix. And I resisted the Ink Membership guff!
Easy interface, no absurd compatibility issues. It's as nice as the ancient second hand HP1215 I worked for a decade with a happy-days 2009 Mac.
However... if, as I read here, Canon one day try to play the obsolescence/shut down game with me (as so famously can Apple) then... well....

Canon Eos are very badly made and very unreliable

For some reason canon don’t include my printer in the monthly subscription. I bought some ink. Delivery was attempted once by UPS (also terrible) before being delivered to a collection point miles from my home. I contacted canon and told them I couldn’t get to the collection point and as UPS were impossible to contact was there anything they could do. The man I spoke to said yes he’d contact them and get them to redeliver to my home but it may take a few days. After a week and still no sign of it I checked the tracking link and found it was still at the collection point and was about to be sent back. I made it to the collection point (which was a huge inconvenience with my health condition) and once I’d picked it up I got an email and text telling me where I could pick up my parcel. Yeah thanks, very helpful.
