Ambers are recurring Items in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2][3][4]

Location and Uses

Breath of the Wild

Ambers are Materials that can be found in various Treasure Chests. The Gems can also often be found inside broken Ore Deposits, and they sometimes appear inside Snowballs when they shatter. Stone Taluses and Stone Pebblit occasionally drop them as well. They are sold by Kairo, who travels between Foothill Stable and the Maw of Death Mountain. 10 pieces of Amber can be used at Starlight Memories to create the Amber Earrings, which use the Amber to harness the power of the land and increase defense.[5] The Kochi Dye Shop accepts Ambers as an ingredient to make Orange Dye.

When speaking to Ramella in Goron City, she will explain that if Link brings her 10 Ambers, she will pay more for them than a store will.[6] This will begin the Side Quest "The Jewel Trade". Afterwards, Link may sell batches of 10 Gems to Ramella in exchange for an increased payment.[7]

Ambers are required to Enhance the following pieces of Armor at a Great Fairy Fountain:
