The Second Amendment That Nobody Wants To Talk About

Everyday, we see news reports from different states where leftist Democrats try to infringe on our Second Amendment rights. Thankfully, most of their efforts fail or are overturned.

Nobody really discusses the reason for the Second Amendment, though. Well, The Truth About Guns spells it out without pulling any punches.

They begin with:

Earlier this month, President Trump released a statement in support of National Shooting Sports Month, recognizing the history and tradition of America’s firearms culture, from recreation and competition to self-reliance. But while the occasion is focused on shooting sports, it is difficult for me to read reverence for the “God-given right to bear arms” without any mention of why the Second Amendment really exists.

While nobody wants to see an armed conflict within the borders of our great nation, history is rife with examples of governments gone tyrannical, from the Roman Monarchy, Nazi Germany, and the former Soviet Union, to contemporary dictatorships like North Korea. One would also be remiss to ignore more subtle strategies deployed to subjugate without the population even realizing it’s happening. Take Hungary’s Viktor Orbán, for example, who uses mass manipulation through the control of information to reshape public perception. Wait, that sounds familiar…

But this isn’t a story about dictators or revolutions. It is one of sincerity and integrity. President Trump is no stranger to the abundance of corruption in DC that has permeated nationwide politics, the judicial system, and much of the government-controlled mainstream media that delivers the message at their behest. And yet, even his brash, anti-silver-tongued speech we’ve all come to know does not allow him to put the Second Amendment in context of why it exists or the shambles it is currently in.

Democrats Seek To Abolish The First Amendment

The Democrats and their media and social media toadies (think Mark Zuckerberg) have been hell-bent on censoring or "fact-checking" viewpoints contrary to theirs.

They are not even trying to hide it.

They are determined to undermine or, perhaps, destroy the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.  

The Washington Examiner has posted an article on how the radical Left is seeking to abolish the First Amendment.

It begins with:

When a political movement’s only guiding principle is an insatiable lust for power, the free exchange of ideas becomes public enemy No. 1. It should come as no surprise that the party that booed God at its national convention and has largely replaced faith with the perverse worship of the state feels that the ends always justify the means.

From author Fran Lebowitz suggesting that President Joe Biden should dissolve the Supreme Court to regime journalists openly calling for the destruction of the U.S. Constitution, Democrats have become increasingly comfortable with publicly displaying their radicalism. In their minds, the enemy is not poverty, inflation, or threats by foreign enemies but freedom itself. As the Left attempts to remake America into a totalitarian, multicultural nightmare, the first two amendments to the Constitution are the only bulwarks standing in its way.

Democrats have been thoroughly defeated on the Second Amendment front. A majority of people can now legally defend their families without a permission slip from the state, and the tens of millions of AR-15, AR-10, and AK-47-style rifles in civilian hands all but guarantee that the gun confiscation plans of authoritarian Democrats are doomed to fail. 

For a variety of reasons, the First Amendment is more difficult to defend. The public has grown accustomed to censorship by the state. Democrats successfully used a coordinated, unconstitutional censorship campaign to win the 2020 presidential election, and they view the continued perversion of the First Amendment, or its outright elimination, as the path forward toward achieving their communistic goals. 

It is imperative that the voters must vote out of office as many radical Democrats as they can and defeat Kamala Harris this November.

A poll released Wednesday has found that most Democrat and Independent voters are unaware of Kamala Harris's radical positions. 

The poll was conducted by the Media Research Center (MRC).

They posted the results and begin with:

A significant new Media Research Center poll finds that large majorities of registered Democrats and Independents who voted for Joe Biden in 2020 — exactly those who would be expected to support Vice President Kamala Harris in this year’s contest — are mostly in the dark about many of the controversial and radical positions Harris has taken.

Here are the results:

• Harris would consider allowing death row inmates to vote (86% unaware —14% aware)
• Harris supported the elimination of private healthcare (81% unaware —19% aware)
• Harris promoted a fund to bail out violent protesters during 2020 riots (78% unaware — 22% aware)
• Harris supported abolishing ICE (77% unaware — 23% aware)
• Harris was named the most liberal U.S. Senator in 2019 (75% unaware — 25% aware)
• Harris said it should not be considered a crime to enter the U.S. illegally (74% unaware — 26% aware)
• Harris co-sponsored the Green New Deal (73% unware — 27% aware)
• Harris never visited a conflict zone on the border as Border Czar (72% unaware — 28% aware)
• Harris supported cutting funding for the police (71% unaware — 29% aware)
• Harris supported reparations payments to atone for slavery in the U.S. (71% unaware — 29% aware)

Kamala Harris Burdened By What She Had Been: Border Czar

The liberal media are tripping over themselves trying to rewrite history concerning Kamala Harris's appointment as "border czar". 

Their gaslighting lies are being led by Axios, who themselves reported that Harris was appointed "border czar" back in 2021. 

Well, social media is digging up plenty of "receipts" showing that the liberal media did report that Harris was appointed "border czar", a position she failed miserably.

As she herself has said, "What can be, unburdened by what has been." She doesn't want to be "burdened" by what actually was.

As President Ronald Reagan said, "Facts are stubborn things!"

Gun Controllers Line Up Behind Harris

The Democrats and their media toadies are having orgasms over the selection by His Fraudulency Joe Biden of Kamala Harris. The gushing by the media over Harris reminds me of the "tingling legs" of Chris Matthews over Barack Obama. This is all fraudulent. They are trying to present the illusion that she has widespread support. 

The gushings are phony as Harris hardly made a dent in 2020 when she was a candidate for president and dropped out before even a single vote was cast. 

One major problem with Harris is that she will continue the anti-Second Amendment policies of Biden and would likely make them worse. 

Already the gun controllers are lining up behind Harris.

As Biden and Harris formed the most anti-Second Amendment ticket in history, it should come as no surprise that anti-Second Amendment groups that supported Biden now move to Harris. Here is what these groups had to say of the presumptive nominee.

“Following President Joe Biden’s announcement today that he will not seek reelection, the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, the nation’s oldest gun violence prevention group, endorses Vice President Kamala Harris to be the next Democratic presidential candidate,” wrote the gun-control group Brady.

The group also touted this administration’s passage of the misleadingly named Bipartisan Safer Communities Act (BSCA), the establishment of the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention (which Harris heads) and the confirmation of Steve Dettelbach to lead the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

If you value your Second Amendment rights, it is imperative that you get out and vote against radical leftist Kamala Harris.

G-FEST XXIX Write-Up

An email came my way this morning with some news articles pertaining to Godzilla. One of them was about G-FEST that took place last week.

This came from Journal & Topics.

The article starts out with:

Since G-FEST XVIII last year, it’s been the biggest year for Godzilla since his 50th anniversary in 2004.

“Godzilla Minus One” from the original Japanese film studio was released in late 2023 and won Best Visual Effects at the 96th Academy Awards. Hollywood’s “Godzilla X Kong The New Empire” came out this year as one of the highest-grossing films, making Legendary Pictures’ “Monsterverse” a billion-dollar film series.

On top of all that, this year marks the 70th anniversary since the first Godzilla movie was released in 1954.

G-FEST XXIX was held this past weekend from July 12-14 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare to mark these milestones, as well as continue what is now a tradition in Rosemont and the foremost  out.meeting of Godzilla, Gamera, King Kong, Ultraman, and other monsters’ fans in North America. G-FEST continues to be independently held by Daikaiju Enterprises Ltd. — the Lees family from Manitoba.

Previous G-FEST attendance was reported to be more than 3,500. This year, around 5,000 made it out.

It was my guess that 7,000 attended. But since the reporter spoke with J. D. Lees, I would say he would be the one with more accurate data.

The attack was bad enough, but there's much to the story that the drive-by media isn't saying.

It’s one thing for Paul Pelosi to be in his underwear. It’s his own home and it was very early on the morning. The remarkable thing is his assailant was also in HIS underwear. What does that tell you that the media isn’t telling you?

Rush Limbaugh's Widow Confirms Death Certificate Rumor

The late talk show host Rush Limbaugh gave the media one last tweak after his passing on February 17, 2021.

It was something that apparently was rumored (I hadn't heard of it) for a while. His widow, Kathryn, confirmed it with Glenn Beck.

According to the Western Journal:

Rush Limbaugh, the late king of talk radio, had one final tweak for the left-wing media that hated him so much, and it’s something he just knew his fans would love.

Kathryn Adams Limbaugh, the widow of the conservative talk radio legend, recently joined Glenn Beck’s radio show and confirmed the rumor that Rush wanted his death certificate to deliver one last jab at the media.

Beck asked Kathryn if the rumors about Rush’s death certificate were true. Did Rush’s final official document say that his occupation was “greatest radio host of all time”?

Kathryn laughed as she replied, “Yes. We have to be on brand at all times. … Another thing that we wanted to do and a way to tweak the media as a final goodbye from Rush, which we know he certainly would have loved."

Smith & Wesson Fires Back At Politicians

Smith & Wesson decided not to sit back and be pummeled by leftist politicians and their media mouthpieces attacking the firearm industry on Twitter.

They also placed the blame on gun violence where it belongs: liberal law enforcement policies (or lack thereof).

Fox Business reported:

Smith & Wesson took to Twitter to hit back at politicians and the media for suggesting that the gun manufacturer – and not the policies they support – were responsible for rising crime rates nationwide. 

The company said politicians and the media have "vilified and undermined" law enforcement, supported prosecutors with policies some label soft on crime, and have generally promoted a culture of lawlessness, yet have the "audacity" to blame Smith & Wesson and other firearm manufacturers "for the crime wave that has predictably resulted from these destructive policies."

Lujan Grisham Ducking Press Over Campaign Finance Report

This really shouldn't come as a surprise that New Mexico Gov. "Malevolent Michelle" Lujan Grisham is ducking the press and their questions over expenditures listed in her campaign finance report.

One particular item of interest is an expenditure of $72,556 to a law firm. 

According to an article in the Piñon Post:

After scandal-ridden alleged serial groper Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s latest campaign finance report dropped, many are asking questions about expenses she listed on the filing. That included the leftist Santa Fe-area paper, the Santa Fe New Mexican.

Daniel Chacón, a reporter for the New Mexican, wrote on Twitter Wednesday, “@GovMLG’s reelection campaign is ignoring my repeated requests for information about specific expenditures in the governor’s campaign finance report. I haven’t even gotten any acknowledgment of the many calls, emails and other messages I’ve sent to spokeswoman 

@kswitmer.”

Chacón was inquiring about another large payment the Lujan Grisham campaign made to an Albuquerque-based law firm, Freedman Boyd Hollander Goldberg Urias & Ward PA, for $72,556. According to the paper, the firm is “believed to have represented the governor in a sexual harassment case.” 

Nobody ducks the press unless they have something to hide. Gov. Lujan Grisham is "notorious" for ducking the press. Obviously, she has plenty to hide.

They posted their "Women of the Year" list and one of them (at least) is a biological man.

Things seem to be getting worse and worse. 

Now, it is rumored that Russian President Vladimir Putin may impose martial law on the country.

Russian citizens have reportedly started to flee the country ahead of President Vladimir Putin’s rumored announcement of martial law. 

Earlier this week, Russia’s official censorship body issued guidance telling news networks to use only "trusted" sources under penalty of closure, which led to the shutdown of two independent news networks, including Dozhd TV – known in English as Rain TV. 

Tikhon Dzyadko, the overnight chief editor of Dozhd, wrote on Telegram on Wednesday that he was fleeing the country over fear for his life, saying that it is "obvious that the personal safety of some of us is now under threat."

$200 Million Spaceport America Lawsuit Starting To Get National Attention

The $200 million lawsuit by the former CFO of Spaceport America is starting to garner national news. 

The story is being widely reported in New Mexico and this does not bode well for Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, who is up for re-election this year.

She already has problems with other financial, coronavirus lockdowns and sexual groping scandals. 

The story has been picked up by U.S. News & World Report via the Associated Press.

They start it with:

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — The former chief financial officer for the New Mexico Spaceport Authority filed a whistleblower lawsuit alleging that he was forced to resign after raising concerns about financial malfeasance that he said cost taxpayers millions of dollars.

Among numerous allegations, Zach DeGregorio said in the lawsuit filed Dec. 28 that top officials committed securities fraud by refinancing spaceport gross receipts tax bonds under false pretenses.

He also said secret meetings held between state officials and Spaceport America’s most notable tenant — Virgin Galactic — may have resulted in violations of the state's anti-donation law, which restricts government donations to personal and private-sector enterprises as a precaution against graft and corruption.

The civil complaint filed in state district court lists numerous officials, including Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, Economic Development Secretary Alicia Keyes, officials with the New Mexico Finance Authority and members of the Spaceport Authority board.

According the a recent post by The Hill, Lujan Grisham is one of the most vulnerable governors this election year. Small wonder, considering she's loaded with scandals. She has raised over $2 billion in campaign contributions.

New Mexico I-40 Traffic Jams Drawing Media Attention

Last week, while returning home from Albuquerque, Russell Azbill and I were stuck in a traffic jam for over two hours. The tie-up must've been 15-20 miles in length. What should have been a two-hour drive was turned into a four-hour drive.

This was due to a road construction project near Laguna, New Mexico.

The traffic jam reminded me of the jam in Idaho immediately following the Great American Eclipse in 2017.

The traffic jams from this road project are so bad that even the media is taking notice.

Over the weekend, massive traffic delays were reported due to a construction project and a hazmat crash on I-40 in New Mexico, but drivers passing through will get a little relief during the holiday weekend.

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) is conducting a 5.5-mile construction project on westbound I-40 from mile marker 111 to mile marker 114 near Laguna. The project began November 11 and is slated to continue through mid December.

The project has resulted in nightmarish traffic backups.

The NMDOT announced a short halt to the project to ease traffic conditions over the Thanksgiving holiday.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A major traffic alert for holiday travelers – construction has led to major backups on I-40. 

Chopper 4 flew over I-40 early Sunday and it showed that the back-up really begins in the westbound lane just east of Laguna.

On Saturday, Nov. 20, traffic stretched 30 miles from Laguna to the Route 66 Casino – semis were not moving at all, some folks even got out of their cars waiting for some movement.

“We both just said they are going to be sitting there for hours and hours, I've just never seen anything like that on this road not that big,” said Malia Adache. 

KOB 4 reached out to the Department of Transportation to see if they will open up all lanes of traffic for Thanksgiving. On Sunday, they said barriers are going to stay up because this is an accelerated project. On Monday, NMDOT officials said they will be suspending a portion of the 5.5-mile construction project beginning Wednesday, Nov. 24 through Sunday, Nov. 28.
