I have lived in Johnston for 26 years. I'm a retired Police Officer having spent 20 years with the Providence Police Department, retiring at the rank of Sergeant. I spent 10 years working directly with the homeless of RI. I have also worked as a fraud investigator dor the Providence Housing Authority and as President of Jeopardy Management Group. For the last 19 years I have served on the Johnston Zoning Board of Review. I was appointed to the Johnston Re-districting Committee, serving as vice-chairman. At present I am the Human Resource Manager of USENTRA Security Services a regional contract security company with over 275 employees. I'm the father of two and grandfather of four.
  • I will not vote to raise taxes and will champion a reduction in runaway housing revaluations for citizens particularly the elderly.
  • I will do everything possible to control the cost of utilities. RI Energy has been able to write a blank check at the PUC and I will do everything I can to put a stop to that.
  • I will oppose State benefits and voting status for illegal aliens. The Constitution is very clear, the right to vote is for American citizens only.
The RI budget is out of control at $14.5 billion dollars and needs to be re-examined. I support Law Enforcement and expanding hiring efforts in order to re-enforce the number of Officers in the street. I am also passionate about the situation regarding the number of homless veterans in RI, as many as 350 on any given night.
My Father. Althought he died when I was seventeen, he was the hardest working man I ever knew. He enjoyed politics and was a kennedy Democrat. I think he'd be very proud that I'm running for office as a Republican, today.
Honesty, integritory, accessibility, accountability, and availability are all key. But an elected official must also be flexible in order to accomplish the goals of his constituency. Reaching across the asile is important as long as one maintains their princaples.
I believe my integrity and dedication to our Constitution as well as Constitutional Republic will make me not only successful but a role model for young people.
Represent the beliefs of the people who elect you and not your own. Accomplish goals that are in the best interests of your district for the present and the future.
That I started my life as very the child of poor mill workers (mill rats) and spent my life in public service, ultimatly becoming a member of the House of Representatives. However, I would like my epitaph to simply read, "COP"
Cutting the grass in a cemetery. It was a summer job.
Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol. I simply found it entertaining.
Santa Claus. Imagine making so many children happy all in one night.
In recent years I have become hearing impaired. This is not a disability but more of a handicap.....you need to spot me 3 strokes.
I listen to all my constituents. I'm touched by all their stories. One in particular has lived here in my district for many years and had jumped through all the hurdles placed in front of her in order to become a citizen. It's not fair, that she should have so many roadblocks and be forced to shoulder the costs of tens of thousands of dollars to achieve her goal while others may get a so called "Golden Ticket" to citizenship by the Federal Government or the State.
It's an old gag called, "Who's on First"
No. Emergency powers are for the Governor, whoever that might be.
Not sure yet. I would want to introduce a bill that would have a chance to pass. After all, this is politics.
RI Right to Life, RI Foundation of Republican Women, RI Republican Conservative Caucus, MORE TO COME
Wherever I can be the most effective.
It's the peoples money and they have a right to know the details of how it's being spent.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Rhode Island

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
