350-Powered 1951 Chevrolet Styleline Business Coupe

This 1951 Chevrolet Styleline business coupe was refurbished and modified in 2012 under prior ownership with work that included repainting the body in turquoise, re-trimming the interior in black cloth, and installing a 350ci V8 paired with a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission. A Mustang II-style front suspension setup with front disc brakes and power rack-and-pinion steering was installed along with an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, an Edelbrock carburetor, an aluminum radiator with electric fans, a dual exhaust system, a tilting steering column, Classic Instruments gauges, and an aftermarket air conditioning system. This Chevy business coupe was acquired by the seller in 2021 and is now offered in California with service records, spare parts, and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.

The body was refinished in turquoise with blue pinstripes during the 2012 refurbishment, and details include tinted glass, LED taillights, and dual chrome exhaust outlets. The seller notes the driver’s door does not unlock using the key, and a crack in the paint on the hood is pictured in the gallery along with paint chips.

The car rides on a Mustang II-style front suspension setup with power rack-and-pinion steering along with rear parallel leaf springs. Chrome-plated 15″ rally wheels wear bowtie-logo hubcaps and are mounted with 225/60 front and 245/60 rear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The cabin features front and rear bench seats upholstered in black cloth, and interior appointments include an aftermarket floor shifter, an analog clock, aftermarket speakers, front lap belts, and an under-dash air conditioning system.

The polished aftermarket steering wheel is mounted to a tilting column ahead of a Classic Instruments 140-mph speedometer and a combination gauge displaying fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage. The six-digit odometer indicates 21k miles, which is reported to be the mileage since the engine and transmission were installed in 2012. About 3k miles have been added under current ownership.

The 350ci V8 was installed during the 2012 build and features an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, MSD ignition components, and a flame-accented air cleaner lid, valve covers, and spark plug covers. The battery has been mounted in the trunk, and the aluminum radiator is accompanied by dual electric puller fans and an auxiliary pusher fan.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed TH350 automatic transmission. The dual exhaust system features coated block-hugger headers and a crossover pipe.

The sale includes an Alpine CD head unit, parts, touch-up paint, and records.
