I know it probably seems like it was just yesterday we were talking about Patch Tuesday and a lot of scary Windows flaws, but here we are again. Mercifully, unlike last month's five zero-day bonanza, this month is bereft of known 0days, but there are some reliably critical bugs like a pair of Office bugs that can be exploited through the Preview Pane.

Hello, I'm looking for an #Office app for #Android (smartphone) that works offline. I mostly need to create and edit docx and odt files, commenting and track changes are a must. I do not want ads and I'm willing to pay a one-time fee but not a subscription. Bonus points if it looks and feels similar to Google docs. Don't care if it's open source/floss or not if my requirements are met.

I came to the #office today and a young colleague had a bank shaved head. I thought it was due to the recent warm weather.
He told me that this was a act of solidarity to a friend that is in medial treatment because of brain #cancer

With that you could control menus and it would be (not) trivial to write your own Universal menu interface and control it from the AREXX device in your programs. For that you'd need to program a AREXX daemon for your OS and a universal menu interface that you control from your programs through the AREXX daemon

LibreOffice-Tipp:
Wenn sich ein Link vor dem Einsetzen in ein Dokument bereits in der Zwischenablage befindet, so genügt:
1. Wort markieren
2. Strg + K
Der Link wird dabei automatisch in das entsprechende Feld eingetragen, ohne dass man Strg + V drücken müsste:
So, I may be a "doomsayer" (I consider myself a realist), but I'm always trying to see if there's a solution to getting us out of the mess we're in. Perhaps I would describe myself as an optimistic pessimist. Anyhow, based on my recent research, here are some of the solutions I think we (humanity) should pursue collectively...
1. Plug up the #MethaneLeaks! Seriously! That's a big part of the problem!
2. Make the price of #meat expensive! I remember when having meat was considered a special occasion -- not a daily occurrence.
3. Make things out of #RomanConcrete. Now that we've cracked the recipe, there's no excuse not to use it! Especially with rising sea levels (Roman concrete holds up better when exposed to water).
4. Manufacture stuff that lasts! No more #PlannedObsolescence -- items that can't be upgraded and/or repaired by a skilled user or a local repair shop!
5. Grow food locally! Turn empty #office spaces into #IndoorUrbanFarms (and #housing).
6. Utilize new (and ancient) technologies to the max! #SolarPrisms, reflective white paint, building new structures with #skywells, #geothermal and other ways to cool/heat spaces without using #FossilFuels!
That's just a few off the top of my head. I think a lot of the solutions are right in front of us -- but #greed and #Oligarchy are keeping them from being implemented!

Hier wären #Regulierer wie @BMDS & @EUCommission an der Reihe, solche Machenschaften zu kriminalisieren und #Interoperabilität und #Portabilität vorzuschreiben!

Die verschiedenen Menüband-Ansichten gefallen mir alle nicht so sehr in LibreWriter, wirken auf mich etwas "unaufgeräumt" und vor allem überfrachtet.
Der Vollbildmodus kann hier eine kleine Hilfe sein - lässt sich mit Strg+Shift+J oder Menübefehl einschalten.
