Precious Moments Wedding Cards

Since I only have a few wedding cards left in my stash I decided to make a couple new ones today.  One I decided to go totally White on White, the other I added some blues.  I used the same heart die set for both, just different sizes.  For the white with blue card I used an embossing folder, the Congrats die, bow die set, scalloped and not scalloped squares, a flower sticker and some gems.  for the WOW card I used an embossing folder, flower die, scalloped and not scalloped rectangle dies, gems and a bow.

50th Anniversary

A Co-Worker asked me to make a 50th Anniversary card for her.  I used some heart dies and number dies and the word die.  I added some roses, string pearls (gold ones) and some gold twine.  For the white I used a heart embossing folder.

Baby Card

This fortnight over at Crafting With Dragonflies the challenge theme is "Star Struck".  I chose to make a hanging easel card using the adorable image from The Paper Shelter.  I used some round dies, letter dies, a cloud die, some square dies and some star punches.  For the center of the inside strip I used a star embossing folder on glitter paper.  My finishing touch was the daisy in the corner.

Christmas ?

This fortnight over at Incy Wincy Designs the challenge theme is "Unconventional Christmas".  We have two sponsors this fortnight, Dr Digi's and StarStampz.  For this card I used an image from StarStampz.  I can't find it in the store so I can't link it up.  Sorry!

I made it so the image is on the inside of the card and the front has an opening big enough to see it from.  I used gel pens to color the image with chalk being used for the sky.  I added some Stickles on the tree, the sky and the front of the card.  My finishing touch was the pink bow.

Santa Selfie

This fortnight over at Incy Wincy Designs the challenge theme is "Unconventional Christmas".  We have two sponsors this fortnight, Dr Digi's and StarStampz.  For this card I used two different images from Dr. Digi's, I used Snow Fun and Selfie Santa.  I thought it would be fun to have the dog in the background of Santa's selfie.  LOL  I stuck with the snowflakes for the Christmas theme, but went with blues instead of the traditional reds and greens.

Life Is TEAriffic

This card was fun to make.  I used a great image from QKR called One Man's Trash.  I also used a sentiment from a Create With TLC set called Life Is Tea Riffic.

How I made this:
To make this card I used a 5.5 x 4.25 inch piece of dark green cardstock.  I used a 5.25 x 4 inch piece of lighter green cardstock with the sentiment printed on it.  I then cut a 7.5 x 3 inch piece of the darker green carstock that I scored at 5.5.  The other two inches I glued between the light and the dark green cardstock and folded it over to make it fold like a "normal" card. I then decorated that piece using some DP, a couple strips of the light green cardstock, some flowers, cheese cloth, ribbon, die cut leaves and the image.  I also added some gems to the upper corner of the card base.

For this card, in order to create a scene, I used three image from The Paper Shelter; "Little Bit Grumpy", "Mushrooms" and "Really".  I used a fence die, butterfly die and a tree die.  I added some cheese cloth and a twine bow.  I added glitter to the windows and Glossy Accents to the spots on the mushrooms.

Holy Crap Uncle!!

This weekend I'm heading to Oregon to celebrate my Uncle Dick's 70th birthday.  I figured I had better be making him a card.  He is a silly man.  He has many jokes about his name...  His wife's name is Ima if that gives you any idea of the types of jokes he uses...  LOL  Because of his since of humor I figured I should make him a fun card.  I've made something similar a long time ago, but it was a get well card.

I used some black and some kraft cardstock and some striped black DP.  I used an embossing folder for the lower square.  I added the mini toilet paper roll using brads.  The sentiment was punched using a fun shaped die.  I used sentiment dies for the 'happy birthday' sentiment.  My final touches were to add some black gems, it just looked boring on that side without something.

Trying Something New

The other day while strolling through Pintrest I saw a easel spinner card.  Today while strolling through I saw a flying easel card that was very similar.  I decided I wanted to make a drawer card, it's been a long time, so I sort of combined all of the stuff to create this.

I used some fun cookie cutter dies, a butterfly Embosslit and a sentiment die.  I used some awesome papers from a DCWV stack called Bella Armoire, mostly scraps from the man date card I posted the other day.  I did the measurements myself for the drawer and the wrap since I couldn't find one anyplace that was 4.25 x 5.5 wide (see below for my measurements).  For my first go at this I think it turned out great!  :)

How I made the drawer:

I cut a 7.5 x 6.25 piece of card stock and scored it 1" on all sides.  I cut one side of each corner in order to fold it in and adhear it to the inside of the drawer.

How I made the wrap:

I cut a piece slightly larger than 4.25 and as long as I could get it (I only had 8.5 x 11 black cardstock).  centering my drawer I scored on each side, then one inch from those score marks.  Because the two ends didn't meet up, I cut another piece the same size as my card and glued it to the two sides.

Hello Unicorn

This weekend has been full of all sorts of fun at the Kit & Clowder Facebook page!  They are celebrating by giving away all sorts of adorable and wonderful freebies and prizes!  This little image was one of the freebies they were giving away.  This image is from Polkadoodles, it is called Lil Miss Sugarpops Unicorn.  I colored her using ink and pencils.  I used some ribbon, lace, a star punch and several dies (rainbow, bow, hello, clouds).  The DP is from American Crafts.  I added Stickles on the horns and the clouds, I added Glossy Accents on the Stars both the punched ones and the ones in the image.
