Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 34.60 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 27.50 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 24.24 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 11.45 crore), Trident Ltd(numbers of share traded: 11.37 crore), HFCL(numbers of share traded: 7.63 crore), Indian Oil Corp.(numbers of share traded: 7.58 crore), IFCI(numbers of share traded: 6.99 crore), MMTC(numbers of share traded: 6.61 crore) and Filatex Fashions(numbers of share traded: 6.32 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 21.21 points up at 24857.3, while BSE Sensex ended up 60.14 points at 81415.98.

On the other hand, LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 1.98 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 1.62 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 1.55 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.47 per cent) and Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 1.32 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
