User description

Part of #872.

v1.29.1 is published from f255d767: signed tag bbeca28c, GitHub Release 2026-09-30T02:32:41Z (Latest, 21 assets), and GHCR 1.29.1/1.29/latest → c18c30a6. Full evidence: #872 readiness record and publication record.

This follows the #809 (v1.28.8) precedent:

Local: docs:check passes (latest v1.29.1).

Summary by Sourcery

Mark v1.29.1 as released and synchronize all release documentation with its verified publication evidence.

Enhancements:

  • Synchronize repository documentation with the verified publication of v1.29.1, including release status, evidence, assets, platforms, and registry tags.
  • Record the completed release workflow and outstanding follow-ups while preserving the published release notes.

Documentation:

  • Update the README, changelog, audit, TODO, and v1.29.1 evidence record to remove candidate status and document the released version.

Summary by cubic

Syncs the docs to the now-published v1.29.1 release (2026-09-30), replacing all release-candidate markers with the verified release truth from #872.

Written for commit 3d4af9c. Summary will update on new commits.

  • Release evidence, audit records, and TODO status now document the signed tag, published assets, verification results, platform support, and GHCR tags
  • Changelog and release notes remove candidate markers and record the completed post-release sync
  • Release follow-ups and known limitations are clearly identified after publication

Impact

✅ Clearer current-version status
✅ Verifiable v1.29.1 release evidence
✅ Accurate installer and platform availability

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Documentation
    • Updated the release materials to identify v1.29.1 as a published desktop release rather than a release candidate.
    • Recorded verified release details, including available installers and updates, security and verification results, and platform-specific limitations.
    • Revised the changelog and project status to reflect the release and clarify which changes are included in v1.29.1.

v1.29.1 is published from f255d76: README badge and CHANGELOG lose the candidate marker (and the #912 pointer bullet), AUDIT and TODO state the released truth, and the v1.29.1 evidence record carries the real ladder, gate results, the freshness executions (including the one that stopped 99a664c) and the rerun-attempt wording deferred from #910.
