This was pretty fun. The worm got me a lot.
The main character of your game has serious dedication
Spot on theme and atmosphere. I enjoyed the SFXs very much too. Well done!
There’s something special about this game. It’s not entirely clear how to avoid the worm, especially when you can’t move.
It could turn into something really interesting. It would be great to mix up the gameplay a bit.
The desert atmosphere works well & the sound design is amazing, especially when the worm is about to show. The themes of decay in this game land strongly & the overarching story too. The worm is annoying tho, there should be better ways to avoid it, or at least better understanding on how. I also think shrines should be safer, I understand the worm coming after you finish a shrine but mid process is tough. Overall I really enjoyed the game, the atmosphere and themes especially.
I like the desert storm effect and the huge monster. Interesting "getting weaker" mechanics adds to the horror atmosphere.
Great short game concept with some minor bugs and issues that marred my playthrough. The sandworm got caught slowing the game down, and the particles making the sandstorm get too close to the player camera occasionally blinding me in an unpleasant way. I wish there was a grace period around the obelisk so i didn't get eaten while performing the objective.
That's all the critique out of the way tho, the low poly models are right up my alley and the atmosphere you've created encapusaltes the theme perfectly. the ending is engaging and you had me on the edge of my seat! great job c:
Really enjoyed your playthrough on Twitch! It's super valuable feedback watching someone play the game live , so I really appreciate you streaming the games in this jam. The critiques are very valid and I'll have to take them into consideration for next time!
Great use of the low poly art! Sounds and art were great, with nice and simple gameplay. I died once but it was a quick enough game that I was completely happy to jump back into it to try again. Well done!
Amazing!
The atmosphere is totally spot on. I was on edge the whole time I was playing, and the sound effects really added to the pressure (plus, that death scream is so brutal). It would be great if the movement detection was a bit more forgiving, but either way, fantastic work
That was unfair! I just took One step when there was a little shake shake, and I got to play from the beginning. The scene looks incredible by the way, very good use of low polygon assets.
Really good!
Loooved the concept and execution. Really well done!
Nice ending!
Did you watch Dune recently by any chance? :P Really great game and atmosphere. It was a bit too unforgiving for my taste - I lost two times right before the last altar, and it was tough starting over again after that. But honestly loved your game.
Dune was definitely an inspiration for this one! Thanks for playing!
loved the vibe of this one, nice music too
This was sick, loved the track at the ending screen too!
enjoyed the game, didn't encounter any bugs and i liked the ending a lot it went really well with the theme.
I really like the idea of getting weaker as you progress. I loved the detail when trying to sprint after the 3rd(?) monument you'd fall and eat sand. I enjoyed this game a lot! Also nice polish, I encountered nothing confusing or buggy! Also also the twist was epic.
Thanks for playing! The idea of the player getting weaker felt like a great way to implement the jam's theme, so I'm glad you liked it.
Took me 3 tries, but I did it (the tip after dying was useful as it turns out). Loved the atmosphere and the graphics!! especially the graphics I swear it adds to the experience sooo much for me. After the first attack I had to turn my volume down a bit, not gona lie almost spilled my tea. Also and I don't mean this as an insult, but this game was longer than I initally expected, a really nice surprise. At two points in the game I thought okay this will surely be the end, but no there was more!
Great game, really enjoyed it!!
Glad you didn't spill your tea. Thanks for playing!
