I liked that one! The "gun"-play isn't tremendously deep, but it is a cool take on schizophrenia, both the presence of incorporeal things haunting you and hunting you down, and the coping mechanism of willing a weapon and ammo into existence. The animation and SFX on shooting, reloading and generating ammo are great and I think there is actually a lot of potential to expand this with i.e. dual-wielding your hands or using similar copes.
One thing I found a little too harsh was the fact, so many eyes sneak up from behind. I could easily clear my field of view, but they would get me from behind and since I am pretty sure ghostly eyes can't actually hurt me physically, they shouldn't spawn and act when I am not even looking their way. Maybe take some inspiration from SuperHot and make them only move when I move (or rather when they are in view), while spawning in view, so there's a constant pressure, but the player doesn't get overwhelmed as quickly.
Other than that I liked it a lot, nice visuals, the posterization was effective, I only felt like those levels could benefit from a few more 3D assets.
This is the most unique "shooting" I have ever seen in games, the pew pew sounds, the reload counting and snapping, is just perfect
Fully agree on that! It's technically a gimmick, but adds tremendous value as a framing device!

The “Snap ammo into existence” is genius. The sound effects (especially pew-pew) are super enjoyable. And I like the atmosphere as a whole. Really cool game! Got 2:57 and cornered with no ammo to spare
Cool concept! And music really add a lot of tension. I figured out what to do on the second try and got 0:55
I really enjoyed this game, I thought the hand gun was funny and the music was awesome. Having the music grow along the insanity meter was a great touch. The eyeball mechanics really had me spinning around looking for enemies and I thought the backrooms type of environment really lent itself to the concept.
Appreciate the kind words, was my first "layered" audio project and was a lot of fun to create something gnarly :)
this is pretty fun. interesting twist having the hallucinations/enemies distinct from the level. Some kind of indicator alerting me to the direction of eyes closing in behind me could be useful.
Nice concept. I enjoyed it, but I wasn't crazy enough to snap ammo into existence sometimes. I had a good run at just under 2 minutes. Would like to see it fleshed out sometimes.

Funny gun, I’ll dream tonight about those eyes 😅 On Safari using the Fullscreen mode helped in running the game.
