How does the game fit the theme?
Zeninja embodies the theme of Risk it for the Biscuit by constantly forcing the player to choose between safety and danger. Each time the farmer is sent into the fields, his harvest becomes more valuable the longer they remain, but the risk grows as enemy ninjas close in with increasing intensity. Calling the farmer back early ensures his safety but limits the potential score, while leaving him exposed raises the stakes, offering massive rewards at the cost of possibly losing everything in a single mistake. The game thrives on this tension, creating a delicate balance between patience and daring, and challenging the player to decide whether to protect his Zen or gamble it all for a chance to win big!

We made everything from scratch (besides some royalty free sounds) !

This was a fun little arcade game!

First off, the art looks great.  The animations and particle effects do a lot here as well.  I really like the bullet time mechanic.  The game would probably be way too hard without it.  I was able to make it through to the end during my first playthrough.  I hadn't really been on top of my game for the entire time, so I only got a 'B' rating.  I jumped back in to see what would happen if I just left the farmer exposed to the ninjas.  Final score: 0 enemies, 0 crops, 0 score.  Rating?  Also 'B', so maybe another tier would be nice.  Or I was just that bad my first time around, lol.

about the scoring system, you are absolutely right. The letter rating stuff was a last minute idea and we ended up adding it without giving it much testing, so we get where you are coming from, and we will definitely fix that in the future!

Cool arcade game. I like the different approach to the theme: the farmer takes the most risk, not us; we just protect him.

It took me a moment to get used to it, and I didn't initially realize you could aim your guy, leading to some frustration with my first run, but then I realized my mistake, and the gameplay opened up a lot.

Cool game. The slo-mo aim system is addictive. I didn't think I lost all my hearts, so I suppose the game ended due to time.

Awesome idea, that fits perfectly in the theme ^^! The graphics and sound design are great, the concept is really good and the gameplay is great ^^. I really enjoyed playing it =). Just a tiny nitpick: when the character is behind the visual elements on the foreground, we don't see anymore the rotating arrow, so it's very hard to aim. I would have liked it more if the arrow was always abover everything else. But it's a very situational thing, and other than that, this is a very, very solid entry. Congratulations!

Absolute fun. The mechanic is so simple yet so rewarding, this feels like the next flappy bird/fruit ninja (in terms of a simple mechanic that becomes a hit)

Really cool and fun game. Love the art-style. I did find an exploit: while you are in aiming mode time still progresses as normal so you can effectively stall out all the ninjas while you farmer is doing his job. But other than that a really cool game.

About the exploit, on one hand it's true that you can stall the enemies while in slow motion mode, but notice that the farmer is also in slow motion, meaning he will farm way less crops, which is the main source of score income. So overall there is a "punishment" for abusing the slow down mechanic.

Super fun to play the risk factor is nicely woven into the theme. Feedback (visual/audio) feels solid. Adding a combo system could deepen the moment-to-moment gameplay and reward skillful chains. Great work!
