    Contractual Obligations

When Howard comes up with a critical thought to enhance a project Sheldon and Leonard have been working on, this leads to an effort to get it patented. When the university demands 75 percent of all moneys earned, the must make a decision. Also, Wolowitz, being associated with NASA gets nothing. Ultimately, Sheldon is asked to draw up a contract. Meanwhile, Raj plays pinball on the phone, bouncing back and forth between two women.

    PC Alert

Another just-above average episode with some tired Raj-related script writing. Howard and Bernadette's hallway conversation seems forced, wanting to ensure all the PC boxes are checked. A little overt as the writers/creators' political leanings rarely seep into this very solid "something for everyone" sitcom. The episode-closing contract clause scene is warm-fuzzy, so there's that.

    I am happy.

I think this episode was very nice. One of the more important episodes of this drowning show. This season, we've seen two of those - (S09E11) and this. An overall development of characters takes place and it's shelled in an interesting plot of Howard, Sheldon and Leonard signing a contract.

I don't want to say a lot about this... just watch it. Even Raj's sub- plot was interesting.

All-in-all, Bernadette seems less annoying, Amy seems to be growing up, Penny was hot as always, and boy, Sheldon is surely surprising. This episode marks a perfect example of the dilemma - who is Sheldon, really, and what is he becoming?

    • Goofs
It is declared that Howard works for NASA and is on loan to CalTech. However, Howard was employed by CalTech long before he did anything with NASA. He had his job there both before and after he went to space, as well as during all the preliminary preparation (such as his training).

      CHUCK LORRE PRODUCTIONS, #523

As some of you might know, I have long avoided having any social media presence. I am completely ignorant of all things Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and whatever other cyberforum the teenage cognoscenti have recently anointed. I know the pound sign is a crucial element to communicating via Twitter, but have never personally tried it. More importantly, I don't feel like I'm missing anything. My life doesn't feel lesser for it. When I began these vanity cards almost twenty years ago, I decided that they were a perfectly adequate way of communicating my personal thoughts on a large scale. Sure, they're a one-way communication, but I actually prefer that. My thinking was, and still is, that this world of ours already sends too many messages. Or perhaps consciousness, by its very nature, acquiesces to being barraged. Either way, my self-preservation seemed to demand digital inaccessibility. Or, to put it more simply, the only hater I can tolerate in my head is already in my head.
