    Wait a minute....

This episode got so annoying amd repetitive, I felt I was in the bad place. Season 2 started off to a slow start it's hard to see how it will get any better. But since the ratings are good my curiosity prompts me to continue watching.

    S2 is starting to suck

EP1 was a recap of S1. EP2 is a restatement of EP1. Is it just that ONE JOKE? It's getting worn and old. Also the pacing is off and the writing is getting a little bit lazier

    Excellent episode. Entertaining and Clever.

OK. After the big revelation of what is actually happening in last season's finale, there where lots of ways this show could continue. The initial expectation might be for a Round 2 kind of season, similar in many ways with the first one.

But in this 3rd episode of the 2nd season the writers went for a totally new direction and ...that is a Good thing! So, this episode is successful in many ways.

First of all it is very entertaining. Quick, snappy montage, with nice rhythm. Second, it help the story to evolve to something else. fresh and new, multiplying the possibilities of what could happen next. It is even lighting a possibility for a real happy ending, when the series (after many episodes later, I hope) reaches its conclusion.

For those who had never watched "The hmm..Good place" I suggest you check it out.

I stand behind my original series review where I stated that this is a great comedy, and with some hidden messages. This episode shows that it evolves in a great way too. So a 10 out of 10 for this, and have in mind that I'm usually a though critic, especially in sitcoms.

The Good Place is usually amusing

But this episode is just plain funny. The montages were priceless (I was particularly amused by Michael's complaining and woe-is-me moment and the camera panning to reveal Eleanor sitting there in bafflement) and the episode even managed to pack in a lot of set-up for the rest of the season in 20 some-odd minutes. I'm rating it a 10, not because I think it's Godfather / Blade Runner / Casablanca level of cinema here, but because it was just a really fun episode to watch and it makes me smile just remembering some of the jokes. What more can you ask out of a 1/2 sitcom, really?

So repetitive that I had to turn it off

I realized that the show wasn't that special from the first episode but I decided to give it a go. Season 2 ruined everything and I couldn't even get through the second episode because it was way to repetitive, it was painful to watch. Hard pass after this one.

When Michael is dictating his notes into the tape recorder, none of the "track armed" lights next to the VU meters are illuminated. On a multi-channel recorder of this type, any tracks that are not specifically selected for recording will be in playback mode, even when the record button is pressed, so that synchronized overdubs can be made. The movement of the meters shows that the tracks have been pre-recorded. Additionally, there is movement on two channels, despite the fact that his microphone is connected to only one input.

Jason Mendoza: No, no! Homies! Check it, 'cause there's something messed up with this place. We keep fighting with each other, none of the TVs get the NFL Red Zone Channel, my soulmate doesn't even know who Blake Bortles is. I know this sounds crazy, but... I think we're in the Bad Place.

Michael: Jason figured it out? Jason? This is a real low point. Yeah, this one hurts. Ow.
