Don't understand the ridiculous low reviews of this episode. I wanted to give this a 10 before even watching it because of the synopsis.

It's not ridiculous, it's a kidnapping and great mystery. McGee gets back to being an author and gets kidnapped for his trouble. Is it an obsessed fan or stolen documents or both? This is one of the best episodes for ages. Always great seeing the cast act out as interesting 'different characters'. This is a fun episode but it's also a great dramatic one with twists! Not quite deep enough for that 10. But does deserve a 9.

Yes my title is a play on words for both to do with that old chestnut the treasure map. And it's a good, interesting episode like the one before. Not too ridiculous for words, as the other reviewer said, even if a bit cliche. But I'm pretty sure NCIS original and Los Angeles has dabbled in treasure map episodes too. As well as other drama shows. Yes they are far fetched but also make for dynamic mysteries. Some good fun lines as well as drama from the team throughout too. Good casting too including Lincoln Lewis.

We have here a contagious Ebola strain that kills with in hours, and it has effected our Doc here. But Doc here is also going through a traumatic, emotional event before this. And this is only a third down. The rest trying to track down the reasons and a way to stop it, and what is even is. Sadness and good twists and emotional suspense in this episode.
