SS2 Roadside Chee Cheong Fun @ SS2, PJ, Selangor, Malaysia.

Lovely auntie selling top notch ccf and ytf by the road side in the evenings.

Standard ytf offerings. Pick what you like and choose your version of ccf either rolled or flat.

Portions were super good, ytf was fresh and taste wise? Sublime. Super duper good after a good session of happy hours.

Ipoh Ipoh Cafe @ SS2, PJ, Selangor, Malaysia.

Haven't been back here in ages, was suppose to go elsewhere for brunch, then a friend jio us to join them for brunch here. We didn't hold back on ordering and whack a bunch of food.

Ipoh hor fun is done good here, broth was flavourful with a nice hue of the prawn oil. Curry laksa ain't that bad either.

Wan tan mee black sauce yummy! I'm always bias towards Ipoh style ccf and this one really hits the spot. Although it looks simple but this is what I call pure comfort food.

Half a chicken to share, well why not? Brilliantly executed, I mean they sell kai see hor fun right. Ordered some fried foo chuks and wonton balls.

I'm happy to say the standards have maintained or maybe tasted better since last I came here was March last year. Service was quick, portions were good and price was decent. Don't forget to order the Ipoh white coffee as well.

Ipoh Ipoh Kafe @ SS2, PJ, Selangor, Malaysia.

Had a big craving for ccf for brekkie and went to check out this place in SS2.

Had a ccf with some wantons on the side. Definitely hits the spot. Washed it down with an Ipoh white coffee. Good stuff.

CCF @ The Little Perakian @ KL, Malaysia.

I was intrigued by the ccf with mushroom. Came here to Overseas Union Garden to check it out. As the name of the shop suggests, I think you can only find this style of ccf in Perak. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Ain't that a beaut, chee cheong fun, some mushroom topped with light soya sauce, sesame seeds, sliced pickled green chillis with fried shallots. Add a bit of ytf on the side and hell yeah they have sar kok liew.

I gotta say, food is good. I'm impressed.

燎记猪肠粉(安顺店) Liew Kee Chee Cheong Fun (Teluk Intan) @ Teluk Intan, Perak, Malaysia.

Need to tapau this Telok Anson style ccf if you're here.

Oh yeah, blardy good. A tip from one of the locals, you can keep it in the freezer. Once you're ready to use, just thaw it overnight in the fridge and fry it up in a wok with a bit of oil plus two eggs per ccf packet. Yeap, I did it few weeks later, superb.

Pasir Pinji Chee Cheong Fun @ Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia.

They're not opened for dining yet, so had to do a tapau.

One small portion of ccf plus 1 fish ball. Taste wise, yup freaking good. Enough said.

Restoran Tien Tien Lai @ Ara Damansara, PJ, Selangor, Malaysia.

Breakfast galore here one morning and we just ordered some dishes to share between three of us.

Not sure what my friend ordered, I had the asam laksa which was quite decent. Helped satisfied my cravings.

Some ccf and ytf to share, pretty good. And a ckt to share, also good.

And weird, I saw on the wall they were advertising garlic bread, which then I ordered. Not bad at all. I mean a bit weird to see garlic bread in a chinese kopi tiam. Anyways this kopi tiam in Ara Damansara has a nice variety to cater for the town ship if your fancying some chinese hawker food.

Kedai Kopi Keng Nam @ Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia.

Freaking hell this place is packed and not to mention chaos like mad. Ok warning given, I did a quick in out fast brekkie.

I ordered the ccf which is simple but packs a punch. This is comfort food for me. Superb.

The white ice coffee was kow, pretty strong stuff. Splendid, I was hyper throughout the day. The curry mee had good reviews from what I read, maybe next round. The ccf and curry mee stall dishes out their meal quite fast. The drinks stall, sigh maybe it's the long weekend..... Oh well quite a decent kopi tiam in my books.

Pusat Penjaja Kampar @ Kampar, Perak, Malaysia.

So this wet market come hawker centre has different stalls operating for breakfast and dinner. We came here dinner time around 7ish pm(well late dinner as our early dinner was like 1.5 hours earlier at the claypot chicken rice place). Our main aim was to check out the chee cheong fun stall.

As the ccf wasn't open yet, I remembered watching Jason's market trails and it featured this stall selling congee and steamed chicken. Well not gonna give it a miss and ordered a single portion.

Ahem yeap this is definitely a crowd pleaser, simple stuff comfort food and taste absolutely delicious.

Friend couldn't resist seeing this ban chang kueh/apam balik stall and ordered some. Not bad, quite a good appetiser before our main course.

Now by this time the auntie and uncle arrived and was setting up the ccf stall. We thought we were early, we were number three in the queue and before you know it, there's easily 20 people queuing.

Seeing this was our last food intake before heading home, we went nuts ordering two bowl of curry ccf laden with awesome goodness. This is one mean mind boggling plate of ccf, you have to try it yourself.

Awesome place to end our makan day trip in Kampar, there's definitely more makan trails here to find next time.

Restoran SM Yong Tau Foo @ Klang, Selangor, Malaysia.

Yong tau foo in Klang? Check this place out.

For your mains, you have an option of curry noodles or ccf. I had the ccf, sauce was nicely done, lovely dollop of crispy shallots.

The yong tau foo is excellent, they have the other green vege stuff as well, but we just ordered all the fried stuff. Pair it with the chilli sayce, YUMMY!

Decent place to satisfy your ytf cravings if you're in Klang.

Robert's Char Koew Teow @ Kedai Kopi Lucky Seng, PJ, Selangor, Malaysia.

Bloody hell, not sure what's the affinity with Robert and char koew teow, if you google it, there's so many Robert's char koew teow in PJ. Anyway I think this is the real deal at Lucky Seng, although I'm still sceptical as his helper was frying it and Robert is no where to be seen.

We ordered a plate of ccf and ytf to share, which I have to admit was an absolute delight. Power.

A bowl of pork soup to share, with a nice dollop of pepper to wake up your senses from a heavy night out of drinking. Seriously a good hangover cure.

And the star of our main dish, the ckt. Superb. The wok hei was there, nuff said. This is one mean dish of a ckt. Although it was the helper cooking it, now it makes me wonder, does Robert do it better or the helper. Guess I have to come back and check it out.

Tai Xee Hee Dim Sum @ Betong, Yala, Thailand.

I love this place, Betong. Woke up for breakfast, put my berms on and tshirt, took the scooter out for breakfast. Air was cooling and everything about the place is just slow paced. Dim sum for breakfast!

The amount of spread available is just nuts. Pick your items and let them serve to your table.

So this was the first few items we ordered. I kinda like the ccf, a bit al dente but the stuff inside was gorgeous.

Unassuming wicked dim sum shop. Yup three pax and we ordered the whole lot below. One thing I like about the dim sum here, portions are small. So you can order more varieties. Prices are quite affordable. And the best thing? The taste is awesome.

Food is good, period. I'll be sure to check out the other dim sum shops next time. I guess another trip is in order. Soon...
