Thai Boat Noodle @ Golden Mile Complex, Singapore.

Friend in town and we decided to check out this thai boat noodle place in Golden Mile. Slurpyyyyyyy.

Came here slightly before 12 noon, wasn't that much queue. Lucky!

Ordered a beef noodle soup. Soup was robust and flavourful. Add your condiments, lovely. Generous portions, good broth, good bowl of noodle soup. Me like.

Golden Mile Thien Kee Steamboat Restaurant @ Golden Mile Tower, Singapore.

Steamboat and chicken rice for lunch? This is a new combo for me, but heck if it's nice why not.

Although it looks empty, this was slightly before 12pm, place soon became packed afterwards.

Some items for the steamboat.

Sorry not enough pics for the steamboat, was busy eating once we start.

Poached white chicken above and some roasted meats below.

The lowdown, steamboat was good, although I prefer the chicken rice. Maybe I'm not used of eating both together, hmmmm. Oh well, was a good lunch either way.

Noodle Cafe @ Golden Mile Complex, Singapore.

I actually haven't tasted the original boat noodle in Bangkok, but this bowl of noodles certainly hits the spot. Think a Bangkok trip is in order soon.

Ordered a big bowl of  beef noodles with the most spicy level. I was sweating after a few mouthful of the soup. This bowl of noodles seriously kick ass, can't stop myself from slurping the soup.

Wash it down with the Thai Milk Tea, a bit sweet but yummy.

Keng Heng (Whampoa) TeoChew Lor Mee @ Golden Mile Food Centre, Singapore.

I'm not accustomed of having lor mee, but when I first tried it, it reminds me of a sharks fin soup but bigger version with extra stuff ie noodles fish etc etc. This is a hearty meal, as the gravy is a bit starchy, I seldom eat it, but once in a while, I'll have the craving for it, and thank god my colleague did a take away for me for lunch in the office.

Check that out, noodles at the bottom, thick starchy gravy, with braised pork, and the red coloring on top? The sambal belacan coupled with chili padi. This is not a dish for the faint hearted, the sambal belacan is killer spicy. Honestly I actually craved for the spicyness, this dish make me sweat after a few spoonfuls.

It comes with fried fish skins, fried wanton, fish cake, fish, and ngoh hiang. As I mentioned earlier, its a wholesome meal. Nice!

Mix it all up, this stalls serves a decent lor mee. Thumbs up!

The Fishball Story @ Golden Mile Hawker Centre, Singapore.

As always around 930-10am at work, some of us will be scratching the heads what's for lunch. Then a colleague of mine showed a link , mee pok fish ball for lunch? And bam I was at Golden Mile doing the takeaways.

Thank god I arrived here shortly before 11am, beat the queue.

How does it taste? Freaking good. Fishball was bouncy, my favourite was the sliced fish cake, it's different but yet tasty. The sambal was delicious and lard was crunchy. This is going to be one of my favourite stalls for fishball noodles.

Diandin Leluk @ Golden Mile Complex, Singapore.

For thai food, i reckon the Golden Mile Complex is the place to be in Singapore. This complex have a few thai eateries which i find similar to Thailand itself. Keyword similar, the best is still in Thai! aha anyways went to diandin leluk, this is my second time, the food is good, just make sure you tell them, make it spicy. Somehow if you don't mention it, its pretty mild.

Yeap, pictures are bad, i was like eager to dig in to my seafood tomyam soup, love it. Excellent taste, decent on ingredients, and importantly its spicy until i was sweating!

A somtam (papaya salad) for some greens, err well not exactly greens, but psychologically its healthy in my mind. And yes it was spicy. Good stuff. Ambience is you won't feel like you are in Singapore, good Thai food.
