Back in Ko Samui after my last year trip, how I missed this island. Rustic chill out vibe. This round we went and check out Faria Halal Food.

Kedai Kah Supkaki @ Betong, Thailand.
I have personally been coming back here every chance I get when I'm in Betong. The food is genuine and superb. Plus the Kakak here is very friendly and polite. This post was taken over a few trips when I was there.
I had the spareparts beef soup and chicken basil rice. I always wanted to try the daging masak merah but keep forgetting it.

NANA Restaurant ร้านอาหารนานา @ Betong, Thailand.
Next to my favourite 7E in Betong is this Nana restaurant. This post covers a few rounds of makan trips here.
Fuss free simple southern Thai style food. Good stuff.

Out of Africa Restaurant and Kudu Bar @ PJ, Selangor, Malaysia.
If you're looking for pure comfort food, do check out this place. Quite a full range menu that cater for everyone.
Now the zebu steak pie, oh my, this is a must order. Be careful though, it was huge, luckily I shared it with a friend. Hand's down my personal favourite.
And my other mate ordered the oxtail, definitely gonna try this next time. Service is good, place is kids friendly and more importantly food is awesome.

Sup Haji Abu @ Jalan Doraisamy, KL, Malaysia.
This place is well known for its soup. Not for the faint hearted, they have the usual beef and mutton soup, but with extra special parts, ie Torpedo. I honestly haven't tried it. I normally order mixed soup minus that.
It's the same pot of soup, the meat are on the side. So when you order, then he'll mix it in. This round I ordered a beef tongue soup. The soup packs a punch, thick and yummy. Not too spicy but yet there's a certain kick to it. Pair it with the local bread(roti bengali) and you'll have a wholesome meal. If that is still not enough, they have nasi lemak packets on standby on the table.

Rennie's House Of Oxtail @ Jalan Gasing, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.
I've heard of this place for quite some time, this round I made it a point to check it out as a buddy of mine was raving about it.
Old school neighbourhood pub, no frills joint where you go and have good conversation over some beers with a bunch of friends.
And the reason I'm here today is to check out the oxtail soup, served in a claypot.
Comes with a side of garlic bread. Now after sampling the soup, or should I call it stew, I immediately know why people was raving about the oxtail soup. It bring backs this nostalgic feeling which reminds me of my childhood growing up eating this type of dish on the road or some guest houses. You don't get this kind of good quality soup anymore, maybe I'm bias as the soup invokes some pleasant old memories or maybe I was a bit tipsy hahhh:) Whatever it is, there's no doubt this is one mean bowl of oxtail soup.
