AHPC XIV: From GrahameH - Italian and Swiss Wars

 Well this will be my last post for this year. I would like to thank all those that have organised and run the challenge again this year. 

So my last post consists of some more Italian Wars (15mm Essex Figures) and a Swiss Pike block for the Burgundian Wars.

AHPC XIV: From GrahameH - 15mm Italian Wars and Swiss Burgundian Wars - Essex Miniatures

 Decided I needed a break from painting Cold War green (not quite true I am just half away through the basing of another Battlegroup) so had a look at to see what I could paint for my Italian Wars. As I mentioned in a previous post, I am completing my large Italian Wars armies and coming to the realisation that it couldn't fit on a 6" X 4" table. So I decided to split it up and have smaller armies representing each of the warring powers (MADNESS!!!). Having completed the army list it seems to need to paint even more figures, and having some pikemen left over I decided to start painting my Swiss for the Swiss Burgundian War. 

So first up are some Pike Blocks for Venice. Figures are Essex and Flags are from Petes Flags on Ebay. 3 blocks, each made up of 48 figures

The Swiss - Again 15mm Essex and Petes Flags. Each block consist of 48 figures, portraying the Zug, Obwalden and Zurich Cantons 

More Pike painted as the Soluthurn and Berne Cantons

Then three blocks of 32 fig halberds. Appenzell, Glarus and Obwalden Cantons

Finally some artillery

AHPC XIV: From GrahameH - More 15mm Cold War (the Dutch) and other Stuff.

Yet another Cold War Battlegroup (BG). This time the Dutch. These are mostly from Army Armies which is now called Army Bits, but I don't think the Dutch are available anymore. Shame because they are very nice models. Again the infantry has already been painted so this post just contains the vehicles. 

The Dutch

Support Coy - 2 X YP-408 with TOWs and 120mm Mortar (4 Crew) I forgot to add the YPR Tow for the mortar in this photo but you can see it in the back of the group picture (36 pts)

Tank Company - 3 Leopard 1s (24pts) 

Dutch Total = 151 pts 

So in my first post I mention I was rebasing and playing around with my Italian Wars and Napoleonic Poles. However, I have decided they needed adding to (an army is never completed)

As a break from all the green I have been painting I thought I'd paint some Skaven. Well 40 of them.

And that's it. I have caught up with all my outstanding uploads so I can now carry on painting Cold War Battlegroups.
