Over the years, QuadratoX has been working on creating a unifying set of themes defining his sound, mainly exploring the realms of psychedelia in the digital era. In the scope of "Hypnagotheque", this lends heavily towards his musings on urbanism, a landscape of the outside world more directly and firmly connected with technology than it already is. As time advances and life evolves, we become more integrated with the tech with which we consume the happenings in the world around us.

The soundtrack to this, naturally, is this psychedelic blend of drone, IDM, and synthetic ambience that has lent itself so well to the artist's past works. In comparison to the others, "Hypnagotheque" almost feels stripped back, taking a more critical look at its own themes by pulling some punches in order to fully explore a soundscape.

While 'Melancholic Haiku Generator' serves as a perfect interlude to add some driving sound to the mix, it makes sure not to overstay its welcome, returning to deeper thought soon after in 'Sun, Hand and Eyes', which exemplifies QuadratoX's advancements in strict IDM-based activities, in which he is becoming a master.

Overall, this album is one of his most ambitious yet, one that we think excellently shows many of his strengths and invites towards exploring the richness of his sound through other recent works, which both expand upon existing themes in "Hypnagotheque" and explore their own interpretations of the digital-physical realms.
