Created as a project to host self-purported "sleep mixtapes", each and every album by ラップトップ寺 has a sort of soothing quality that balances between calming and deliberately chaotic, jumping between thoughts and ideas at intervals both short and long. Put simply, the accuracy to a dream is impressive in the way which it mimics the connections between a wide array of tangentially related sounds, woven together by the mind into one coherent mountain of thought.

Portions of more melodic ambient lead into sheer stretches of synth-driven droning tones in "観覧者", deserts which seemingly have no end until they deposit you into the next oasis, between leaving you stumbling into yet another sprawling dreamscape. both '夜行性で、静かで空っぽ' and the title track exemplify this with perfectly textured stretches of foreboding, yet relaxing chords drawn out to their inevitable conclusion.

These moments ultimately make the short, but noticeable bursts of energy across its runtime all the more effective, coming out from the backdrop like a snap out from a dream, before the slow pull back in comes straight along.
