"Stretch" is back to visit the bird seed feeder!


 

 

 

He helped himself to the seeds 

And then he went over to the water

 

and proceeded to wash his face! 

 

I wish I had thought to get a video of the face washing, because it was funny to watch.  Oh well, maybe next time :)  I'm sure he will be back!

How will you spend YOUR day?

 

Some years ago, something I was reading challenged me to write down the answer the question, How will you spend your day?  The other day I came across what I had written in an old notebook.  Here it is:

 How will you spend your day?

Today I will try to get up about 6:30 and begin my day with prayer.  I offer my praise and thanks to God for His constant care and the many blessings He gives us each day.

I will prepare a healthful breakfast for us, which will give us energy to start a productive day.

Checking in with my e-mail and blogger friends gives me an outlet to express myself and to stay in touch with friends who mean a lot to me.

I will spend some time ‘keeping house’, doing cleaning, straightening, washing and drying clothes and cooking.  I am happier if things are fairly neat, clean and orderly, although I don’t always do a good job with this.

Some of my day will be spent in quiet time and Bible reading.  I need to set a certain time for this.

If I am lucky, I will have a few opportunities to enjoy my hobby of photography.  Maybe I’ll get a few good shots and put them on the computer for editing.  This hobby has made me even more aware of the beautiful world God has created for us to enjoy.

Very little time will be spent in front of the TV, unless there is a good movie or documentary we want to watch together.

Hopefully, some of my day will be spent listening to Jeep play the piano or guitar and sing. 

I will end my day with prayer, and happily fall asleep in Jeep’s arms.

Let me see, where has she hid my treats?

Maybe she has put them in the Finch feeder.

Oh, Joy! Here are a few treats in the bird feeder!

It's a little hard to reach, though!

Maybe if I hang by one foot, I can reach them!

Yummy!  This is SO worth it!

Just re-name me "Stretch".

Are these seeds making my rear look fat?

I've had enough for now, but I'll be back!

I'll rest just a bit and then...

I'll go back for a few more bites!

My partner decided two was one too many to be in the feeder and just waited below.

The Great Blue Heron

You may have seen this before, but I ran across it again and remembered what fun I had shooting this Great Blue Heron.



I'm eager for warmer weather so I can get back outdoors and make some new pictures.  I like the way the light is reflected on the underneath of this bird's wings.

West Coast Honeymoon Trip- New Blog

I've put together a blog about our Honeymoon Trip and if you care to check it out you can click HERE .
It's only about 5 years overdue!  I kept sort of a daily journal of our trip and put it together with some of the pictures we made.  I hope you enjoy it.  I'll try to put a link on my sidebar, but with the luck I've had so far, it may not happen.  Sometimes Blogger in a great pain!

Also, at the bottom of this page you can click on the book.  I was disappointed about the size of the print as it appears in the book, so it may be easier to read the blog.  They are basically the same although there are some more pictures in the book.
