Who's Kid Is That?!?

Today Sam got ordained as a Deacon and received the Aaronic Priesthood. I'm very proud of him! He's such a good boy and I just can't believe he's getting so old! We went to his ordination today which was very cool, first time I've ever done that. Anyways, my dad gave the blessings, and it was very great, but Carson went too. The blessing was a little longer than his attention span. During the middle of it he laid down on a few chairs next to each other and started fake snoring!!! Oh my gosh!!! He is such a stinker! I leaned over and whispered that he can't do that and he stopped but then I was pretty embarrassed but at the same time trying to control my laughter! Sorry Sam and Dad for the irreverence. Probably next time we'll have him sit out of one of these or have a serious talk with him to make sure he knows there is no fake snoring allowed!

Women's Fitness Celebration!!!!!!

So on Saturday I did the Women's Fitness Celebration 5K which I have done for 3 years now. Only last year was the first year I ran it and I LOVED it, so for a year have been counting on doing it again and working on beating my personal time last year. My sister-in-law, Julie, was so nice to let me ride down there with all of her friends since Harris and Carson were coming to cheer me on but didn't want to be there so early. We got there and it was raining...not too bad I thought. Then I jogged to the start line so I could have somewhat of a warmup. By the time I got there I was SOAKING wet! Then we had to wait almost a half hour to start! Off I went at about 9 o'clock. I was pretty pumped up/nervous/excited once I got started. I have to say I felt great. I felt like I ran well. Last year I got 8th place in my category and this year I got 6th. Woohoo. Not much improvement in my placement but I actually ran it about 2 minutes faster than last year so that's not too shabby. While at the time it was sort of crappy, I now look at it and think it was probably my favorite race I've ever done. My cute little Carson was great yelling, "Go Mommy!" as loud as he could on the sidelines. My little fan club was so nice to come watch me and support me in the pouring rain. They're the best! All of the girls around me heard Carson and were all saying that's soooo cute! I was proud! Can't wait for next year! I wonder if it will rain :)After the race...soaking wet!

Homecoming Royalty and my Little Prince

My cute little sister got nominated for Homecoming Royalty, so we went to the football game on Friday night since she got to be escorted by my dad onto the field during half time. Carson got asked to be the little guy who takes the Queen and King their crowns. He looked so cute and tiny on the field dressed up in his nice little outfit. He was in awe of all of the pretty girls but most of all I think he really wanted to have the King's crown. It was fun watching them both and congratulations Callie for being nominated! People really look up to you!

Check it Out!

Just thought anybody who thinks houses are cool should check out Misty and Scott's Parade of Home that she posted on her blog. It's really amazing! Anybody looking for a house in Rigby would be lucky to have it!

My Baby Boy is 3!!!!

Today (or at this point yesterday) was Carson's birthday. We celebrated on Sunday since Harris had a class from 6 to 9 pm. We had a blast having family and friends over to celebrate with us. Carson loves Mickey Mouse so I decided to make him a Mickey Mouse cake. It turned out pretty cute but had a hard time keeping the ears up! He got to sit in his Mickey Mouse "throne" while he opened presents. I just can't ever explain how much this boy means to me. He cracked me up while opening his presents. Every little thing he says these days is just hilarious. He got really into the birthday thing and for about a month before his birthday, everything we saw he asked, "Can I maybe have that for my birthday?" Then one day we walked past a BMW and he told me he would get it for ME for MY birthday. That's so nice of him :) So anyways we had a good time at his party and as always he got spoiled rotten. He's just loved!

His Mickey Mouse "throne"

So on Carson's real birthday I still had to make sure he had a great day! I took him to "the star McDonalds" AKA Carl's Jr. because that's what he requested. He got to play on the playground with Whitney which made me happy because places like that freak me out. He hardly ate, just played. Then we went to Target because he had gotten $5 from Grandma Jane. He picked out a 60 piece John Deere tractor puzzle which he did a lot of by himself! Then we went to Grandma Harmon's and he gave me an excellent back massage (what a sweet little boy). Grandpa took us all out to eat and they sang to him and he got a free Ashpalt Pie from Winger's! I think he had a good day!

This is at dinner. It cracks me up cuz he's actually saying, "Muahaha" in this pic.

Opening presents from Mom and Dad.

I just hope that Carson knows how much I love him andI can't imagine any purpose without him. He's really one of my best friends, even at age three and I love the time that I have to spend with him. When he's a teenager I hope he can still realize how much I care and want the best for him and I hope we can still have the bond that we do now. I've just always felt this sweetness about Carson, even though he is a wild and crazy boy, that has always gave me this feeling that he will always be good and care about his family. He's endured a lot for a little 3 year old and is still one of the smiliest and happiest little people I know. I love you Carson! Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Daddy-o!

My Dad's birthday was on the 4th and we went over to my parent's house to have some pizza and a very delicious ice cream cake from Maggie Moo's. I hope he had a great birthday and knows that we all love him and appreciate everything he does for us!

This is his awesome pose he made showing off his gifts!

Labor Day Hike

On Labor Day James and Charise invited us to go hiking. The kids it was actually kind of cold and windy but it was a lot of fun.

The little kiddos got tired pretty quick so I don't really know how far we hiked but we stopped to take some cute pictures and snack a little before we turned around to head back.

Makenna cracked me up too because she realized she had to go potty and was super quick hiking back to the car!

We had a good day and Carson enjoyed it for the most part. I need to remember to do this more often :)
