Finally San found me something that I actually like and am not afraid of. I had a good time last night. 

It's also better in MY red cube. The dragonfly didn't know what hit him. 

Our Christmas Present

           

With all the Christmas talk, san bought us a Christmas present. Actually she bought us two Christmas presents. But she said this one is for everyone who wants to play in it. So I am here to supervise from far away just in case. It came in a box with pictures of cute kittens on it.

These things are supposed to be able to cope with a 9 kg cat. san says it should work for me but I am not so sure. By the way I am NOT 9 kgs!

This is what the whole piece looks like. I heard san say to Cousin R that this could not possibly hold me. I think she is right!

   

  Ok. I must say it looks good. Pink is my favorite colour. But I think I will just use the bottom half. There is no way I can use the top. I think the cats that were on the box were small ones and just models!

                               

This very blurred pic is of Tanaka sitting in it. He is only 4.1 kg and he didn't even try to sit on the top tier! If you look at this picture closely, you will see the top of Akira's ears on the top cage and Tanaka is in his harness and leash. They were actually together in the same room and they were both calm! san is doing leash training with Tanaka but_that_ is a long story for another time. This one is just for this Christmas present. We hope everyone gets lots of presents this time. 

Our second Christmas present was opened early this morning at 3. It was an animal communication session with the very famous animal communicator Laura Stinchfield. san asked about the ongoing difficulties between Tanaka and Akira and even I got to speak with her. We also spoke to my brothers at the bridge Totoro and Megat. san said she would write about what we said in later posts so that anyone who is interested in what we think can read about it. 

san says not everyone believes in an animal communicator but it's ok. Laura has helped Ms Akira find help for her crooked spine and Fern has helped Tanaka find help as well. If not for the two of them, san would not have known that they were in pain. Laura and san told me this morning that I should try my best at the vet. Maybe I will. At least I will try not to bite him!!

Sunny Sunday

Sunday morning began softly. san sat with me for some alone-time. I like being here in the mornings to see the birdies from the flat across. Then she showed me the new toy she bought for us. It was a pink butterfly.
It flew like the real thing...at least san told me so. I have never seen a butterfly outside , even at my window. But this was quite fun. san told me my bruffers also liked it...

Here Toro was trying to hynotise it. It didn't work very well.
So he pounced on it and caught it. He did better that time!
Tanaka also did very well (although I hate to say it!)

Bujang was very good at playing catching the butterfly. He caught it very neatly.

The butterfly as you can see has lost some of its wings. san tried to look for the pieces but she could not find any. I told her its in our stomachs! But we didn't mind. san has two more and I think we would be having a 'flying' time these few weeks.

Note from san

I bought these butterflies from the same company http://www.mythreecats.com/ that sent me the package for the steel water fountain. They are called Butterflier Dancer Cat Toy :) I also managed to get my water fountain the second time round after many calls to the post office! But I had to change the motor for one that we can use. It was a matter of voltage. I could use a converter but it was unstable. I will put up some pics of that quite magificent water fountain but only Ms Akira and Toro had drunk from it :) The others were too afraid of the falling water :)

Silly Saturday

He had some time to himself as the amigos had decided that ever one of them would get some time with it but Tanaka had the lion's share...as usual.

Ms Akira's verdict...

Ms Akira was quite interested in the new toy...she pawed at it and twisted and turned and then she decided ...

that she needed to expand all her energy...:)
Verdict: It was quite exciting san. I would like to play with it again...soon.

Kickaroo..wheeeee...

san boughted us a new toy called a kickaroo. san says it makes you look like a kangaroo. It has nip in it and I plyed wif it quite a lot. It was fun. san old me to help her wif the housework but I told her I was on time-out. Hahaha....

He merely licked at the toy for the catnip...

He was at this for a very short time. I guess he was not much interested in it.

My bruffer Megat was toooo old and did not like the kickaroo furry much. I fink he just woke up and was furry groggy. either that or he was afraid of Big Boss Bujang who was walking about.

This toy came highly recommended by moderncatdotnet. I thought I should get it for the boys.

Alas...all they did was sniff and touch. They did sit through cycles of hypnotic string movts though :)

Fling-a-ma-string in action

Toro is the only kitty in the house that genuinely likes the new toy. Its quite hypnotizing - the sound as well as the movt. The movt is not random enough to attract the boys all the time. They just sit there staring at it, up and down :) Not one of my successful purchases I must say.
