Hi there! This week on the Pink Paislee blog, it's all about Shapes! I was assigned the timeless shape: STARS! Please be sure to visit the Pink Paislee blog for some awesome inspiration! click HERE
Stars are quite a versatile shape that may be used year round and for any occasion just like the NEWLY released Declaration collection. Shapes can add such interest to ANY sort of paper crafting project! I made several projects that will hopefully inspire you to create using STARS!
First up, is a layout featuring several star paper rosette embellishments using fun patterned paper from the Declaration collection.
To create the star shaped paper rosettes, I combined various sized Spellbinders Stars Five die templates along with Tim Holtz Rosette dies. I just love these fun embellishments! They add a lot of interest and dimension to my Father's Day layout!
In case you were curious as how I decorated the metal star home decor piece, here are a few step shots:
First I painted the metal star using Acrylic paint:
Then I made a pattern and cut the various patterned papers from the NEWLY released Declaration collection and adhered the patterned paper to the star. Finished it off with a coat of Mica flakes and a star rosette embellishment. SUPER easy!
Other supplies used:
Dies: Spellbinders Stars Five, Labels Four, Labels Twenty-Three, Grand Calibur, PTI label, Sizzix Rosette dies
Stamps: Flourishes Father's Day, Waltzingmouse Seasons of Love - Tags, PTI

Next up, is a dressed up jar of sweet treats with several star shaped paper rosettes adhered to skewers as well as a fun little tag:
This just screams ~ "Let's have some fun!"
Lastly, is an altered 3D metal star shaped piece of Patriotic home decor:
I cut a pattern then adhered various patterned papers from the Declaration line on the star, distressed it a bit with ink, covered it with a layer of Mica flakes then adhered a star shaped paper rosette to the front.
Stars are such a fun shape that may be used on ANY project, ANY time of the year just like the NEWLY released Declaration collection.
Thanks so much for visiting! I hope you enjoyed my projects as much as I enjoyed creating them and I hope I have inspired you to create something fun featuring a star or two!
