Warm Wishes 26

Mona Pendleton | Saturday, November 30, 2013 @ 8:30 AM | , , , ,

Hi there! I hope you are having a great weekend! Our temps are back to normal - in the mid 70's and sunny so Tina and I have been enjoying the long holiday weekend, riding our bikes everyday. Today I have a card to share that I made for the MFTWSC sketch challenge. and I also wanted to share a link with you to a project that I made for MFT that may be viewed on the MFT blog ~ HERE. I would really be thrilled if you would check it out :)
Here's this week's sketch:
This sketch was perfect for showcasing the sweet girl from the Pure Innocence Warm Wishes stamp set along with cute little snowflakes and a sentiment from the Pure Innocence Thanks Snow Much stamp set:
After stamping, coloring and trimming around the girl, I adhered her on a die cut panel that was made using a die from the Die-namics Blueprints 8 set then topped it off with 2 Jellybean Green buttons and die cut decorative pieces made using dies from the Die-namics Blueprints 8 set.
Thanks so much for stopping by ~ I hope you join along in the fun! You have the opportunity to win a $20. gift certificate to the MFT Boutique! Be sure to visit the MFT blog for additional inspiration.
Be Sweet ;)

Wishing You a Happy Day...MFTGUEST0413 35

Mona Pendleton | Sunday, March 17, 2013 @ 9:58 AM | , , , ,

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all who celebrate! It's great to be home! Thanks so much for visiting throughout the MFT March Teasers! I really appreciate your support and encouragement! I have lots of photos to share from our trip, just need some time to sort through them but I do have a card and some photos to share of sweet April :)

It's time for the monthly April MFT Guest Designer Contest! The winner of this contest will win over $200 in stamp sets and Die-namics, AND have the opportunity to play along with the design team for the next release and all the Wednesday Stamp Club Challenges for the next month. MFT always has amazing stamp sets around the corner and getting (and stamping with) them early is a special treat. For complete details, please visit the MFT blog.
Being St. Patrick's Day, I made this card for sweet April :) I combined the 4 leaf clover image from DC Girly Graphic Tee along with a sentiment from Pure Innocence Around the World - The Netherlands. To create the main background, I randomly stamped the 4 leaf clovers using MFT Sour Apple ink on MFT Sweet Tooth cs
I finished the card with a die cut felt 4 leaf clover that was made using the heart die from Die-namics Homespun Birdhouse along with MFT Sour Apple felt then stitched on a MFT Sno Cone button.
Since it's St. Patrick's Day, I wanted to share a few photos of sweet April that were taken at her last Irish dancing competition that Scott and I attended. Here she is all dressed up and ready to perform:
I love her poise:
At the end, her class performed a line dance. The energy was AMAZING! The whole crowd was clapping as the dancers feet were tapping!

Thanks so much for visiting! Hope you have a great day / night!
Be Sweet ;)

Hey, Pumpkin... 31

Mona Pendleton | Tuesday, October 9, 2012 @ 9:26 AM | , , , , ,

Hi there! Hope you are all having a great week! I have a card to share today using the sweet image from the MFT Pure Innocence Pumpkin Patch Girl stamp set. Admittedly, this card was quite the challenge for me because I couldn't find the right color combination. I gave the little girl three different outfits before settling on the one you see! Please tell me I am not alone? Does this ever happen to you??? I stamped the sentiment on a die cut made using the Die-namics Bracket Tab die:
After carefully cutting around the image, I adhered her to a piece of dry embossed Natural card stock and stitched on buttons for wagon wheels.
I completed the inside with another sweet sentiment from MFT Pure Innocence Pumpkin Patch Girl stamp set along with a pretty doily that was cut using a die from Die-namics Oval Open Scallop Doily DUO die set:
For sketch inspiration, I joined along with retro sketches:
Thanks so much for visiting. I hope you have a great day/evening! I'll be back tonight at Midnight Eastern kicking off the MFT October Teaser Time ~ Hope to see you then!
Be Sweet :)
